Working Man

After nearly 4 years of mooching off of us, Makgill decided to go out on Friday and get a job. 🙂 We went to do some shopping at Tomlinson’s, and found Dad cleaning out his office. This in itself is a miracle, as I don’t think that office has been cleaned since I was born,...

I can just imagine how FUN he thinks this is! I LOVED working in my Mom’s office when I was little. Carbon paper was my favorite. I would always say “sign by the X” like they did at the bank. hehe.ReplyCancel

I’m afraid Boom-Boom cheaped out on this one. I advised Makgill not to work this cheap again!!!!!ReplyCancel

Thankful

Today was Makgill’s Thanksgiving Feast at school. He’s been learning about the first Thanksgiving, and what it means to be thankful. This week, he came home with three paper leaves, and we were to write what he is thankful for on them. Here’s what my Baby is thankful for in 2007: trees and leaves; Mommy,...

    Oh what FUN!
Where would we be without our Moms?!ReplyCancel

And where would we “moms” be without our children and grandchildren? People say “if I’d have known the grandchildren would be this much fun I would’ve had them first”. Us grandmoms can AFFORD to be more patient with the kids than you moms. After all, you eventually take them home and then we can clean up the mess without little hands going behind us messing it up again. And while we are cleaning it up we just smile at how precious those little hands are. So thank you, Aron, Collin, Reeves, Rebecca and (someday) Andrew and Erin for giving us little hands to clean up behind!!! LiLiReplyCancel

Trains

More pics from that Saturday that I just found… Makgill LOVES trains. Always has. Last year, Santa brought him a TON of Thomas stuff, because we figured “if he loves trains then he’ll love playing with trains”. Not so much. It turned out to be a HUGE mess. Tracks never stayed together and he was...

Helping Daddy

I was looking through our family pictures, and ran across these images from a few weeks ago that I forgot to post. Mak is really in a “helping Daddy” phase right now. Now that I think about it, though, I guess he’s been in this phase for over a year now. He’s very much into...

I wish we lived closer! We need a stove, plantation shutters, and a toaster oven! 😕ReplyCancel

Actually, we do need a toaster oven…how much is it going for in the unofficial Smith yardsale? We just ruined ours a couple weeks ago with a REALLY burnt poptart 🙂 Great pics…I’m loving Mak right now–he’s just at such a neat, neat age.ReplyCancel

Charleston

We had a great time with the kids in Charleston today. Collin had a session a few weeks ago that was postponed due to rain, and today was the day it was rescheduled for (Beautiful weather today, by the way!). Mak has been talking about wanting to “ride a horse” (carriage ride) since we were...

Of course, you and Clara Beth look georgeous…but, Collin and Makgill look particularly hansome in this series of pix. First of all, nothing is cuter than a pea coat on a boy (man)! I bought Byron one last winter. I’m sure it’s about 2 sizes to small this season. 😉ReplyCancel

E and I always love the carriage rides but haven’t yet gotten up the nerve to try with Claudia. I think we will take your experience to heart and wait a few more years. Glad ya’ll had fun otherwise!!ReplyCancel

Remember when one of our Christmas card pics was of you, Reeves and Andrew sitting on that cannon? Time flies!!! All you parents out there enjoy those kiddies b/c they grow up fast. Of course, the fringe benefit of that is the GRANDKIDS 🙂 I KNOW why they call them GRAND!!!!!ReplyCancel
