HOME. :)

It’s late Sunday night and I am writing this post from my favorite place in the world…my couch.  I LOVE a good vacation.  I’m always up for traveling anywhere, but my favorite part is always coming home.  We had an amazing Spring Break.  It wasn’t relaxing.  That’s okay, though.  It wasn’t relaxing because we stayed up way too late talking and laughing hysterically with great family and friends.  And then for some reason every morning at 4:20 Mak decided it would be a good idea to climb in the bed with Collin and me.  He’s getting really big and makes a queen size bed REALLY small.  Oh, and Clara Beth?  I’m not sure if she slept at all the entire week.  And then all 374 kids that were at the beach house decided that everyone should be up for the day no later than 6:10am.  It was PERFECT, though.  We had three kids throw up, two kids run fevers and one with an ear infection.  And it was still PERFECT.  I think Spring Break at the beach will be a new tradition for us.

I gave Collin the week off from taking pictures.  Well, our family pictures, that is.  He had 5 sessions.  But not counting those, I took over the camera .  😉

There was TONS of cousin lovin’

and scooter riding and fishing…

Sweet baby Lauren!

The kids were completely crazy and all got in the ocean without even flinching.  I tested it out to see and trust me, it was a hurt-your-feet kind of cold.

Sweet Saw-Saw on the beach for the first time!

One morning CB woke up with an upset tummy so we spent some time cuddling on the couch.  She was fine by noon, though.  That’s the kind of stomach bug I can handle!

Silly Boys at River City Cafe!

Sawyer showed his disapproval of eating sweet potatoes while everyone else was enjoying cheeseburgers and french fries.  😉

Back to the beach!

Racing on the beach is the boys favorite thing to do!

Future soccer player here.  Sawyer’s feet were hilarious kicking that tennis ball up and down the beach!

Worn out Beach Beauty

Sweet Caroline LOVED the beach!

Thank you, Lord for this Amazing man!!

Mak fell in love with frisbee…

Caroline enjoyed chewing on shells and eating sand…

LOTS of built-in playmates!

We even got my dad to eat Chinese!!  He hasn’t eaten Chinese food in over 30 years because he got food poisoning the last time he had it.  Who doesn’t like P.F. Changs, right?

Jordan was permitted to play only inside this circle.  😉

It was just so much FUN!!!  I love the beach so much and I’m so glad Mak and CB do, too.  One thought that kept running through my mind all week was how different Spring Break will be ten years from now.  I am loving this precious stage of life!
