I went on a bear hunt. With three of the cutest, happiest, most fun loving little boys you will ever meet. Collin has been photographing Sweet Isaac since he was a teeny baby. And now he’s a THREE year old. And he’s in pre-school. It seriously blows my mind how fast kids grow up. Isaac will be coming in for a Boys Will be Boys session on the 16th with Collin (by the way, if you want a Boys Will be Boys session, CALL SOON! They are filling up FAST!) but his mom asked me if I would come along on a playdate and document his relationship with his best buddies. I LOVED this idea! Some of my very favorite photos that I have taken of my kids are of them with their friends and cousins. Those relationships are so important and special…I love that Ashley wanted this documented!
This was the look on Isaac’s face when he saw his friends arrive at the park…LOVE it!!
I love these faces! I think they were pretty happy to be having a Saturday morning playdate. 🙂
Isaac and James quickly joined John Roland over at the swings.
It was about this time that we noticed tracks in the sand. BEAR TRACKS, Isaac was convinced. So we did the only logical thing…we went on a bear hunt. I LOVE LOVE LOVE a little boy’s imagination!!
Off we tromped through the wild, untamable forest. 😉
First we discovered what was surely bear food on top of a stump…
Then the fearless John Rolland explored the tree that the bear more than likely lived in…
Then they heard a suspicious sound…
And were once again off to explore!
We saw the places where the bear more than likely gets his water, where he sleeps in a tree, and a log that he probably knocked down. But doggone if we never found the actual bear. I can promise you it was NOT for lack of trying, though!
Finally we decided that the bear thing just wasn’t going to happen today so we hiked back to the playground for a little refreshment before digging in the sand.
I love the dirt smeared, happy smile of a boy!
And their dirty feet, too! 🙂
Finally, we wrapped things up with Bubbles!!! I ADORE their reactions!
Isaac, James and John Roland…I had SUCH a great time yesterday! You are three FUN little boys and I so enjoyed our time together!
