So the rest of the weekend after the dance was full of a lot of ordinary moments that together made a pretty special family weekend. I LOVE weekends like that…not a lot to do other than spend time with the three people I love the most!
Oh, on the photographs from this weekend you will notice a new border…a&c life. Basically, these will be on all of the photographs that Collin and I take from, well…our life! It stands for Aron and Collin…life. You see, Collin and I are rarely without a camera. We LOVE photography. All types of it. Everything from formal heirloom portraits to candid photographs of kids playing. It’s all part of life and it’s all GREAT! I personally am never behind the camera for the beautiful portraits that Collin creates in his portrait sessions. Sure, many times I am there to help out with getting expressions or catching baby spit-up :), but the session work is toally and completely him. That’s not so true with the “just hanging out and playing and doing what we do around the house completely casual family stuff”. Whew. How’s that for a mouth full? We both document that side of our family, and it is very different from the studio work. So that’s where the new logo came from. When you see it, you will know that it is the lifestyle part of this blog. 🙂
Now that that’s explained…back to the weekend. Mak started swim lessons Saturday morning with an AMAZING swim instructor! He had such a great time, and she even got him to put his face mostly under water and blow bubbles. This makes her a miracle worker. My son DOES. NOT. PUT. HIS. FACE. UNDER. WATER. i can’t wait to see where he is with swimming at the end of the lessons! He can’t wait for his next lesson and asks all the time when it is. Thanks, Dawn!
After leaving swim lessons, we passes by the Toyota dealership where a few of those big inflatable jumpers were set up. We stopped and let the kids play for awhile. They would have stayed all day long!
Then we went back home for a lazy afternoon and some playing over at Tal’s house (no pics!). Collin had a GREAT engagement session that night (can’t wait to share it with you!) and I stayed home and got the kids to bed. Sunday we went to church and then lunch with my family after, and then I got to visit a very sweet new baby girl while Collin and the kids headed out with the Grangers. Don’t you just love newborns? Is there anything sweeter? I love the way they invade and completely take over a home immediately. Baby Elisabeth is Gorgeous, just like big sister Isabella! Thanks for letting me hang out with you and your sweet ones, Jessica!
I then headed over to Brandon and Jessica’s for a few hours of play time. Brandon and Collin headed out to Lowes and to get us pizza, Jessica and I sat around and talked, and the kids were busy playing and covering themselves in dirt from head to toe. A perfect Sunday evening!
My little road warrior. This is what I was greeted with as I drove up to the house. Love him!
This is how Mak and Parson play together. Mak gets on some sort of riding toy and rides as fast as he can while Parson chases him. They think it’s the greatest activity ever and do it for hours.
Love Lilah’s smile!
And Parson’s snaggle-tooth grin! Mak is dying to lose teeth because his best buddy Parson has. Every day he tells me he thinks his tooth is loose. He’s not even close. Poor kid.
Parson and Mak decided to help Brandon out with the landscaping.
My sweet and completely filthy baby girl!
We had such a fun, relaxing weekend. My favorite kind! The kids were exhausted and their bathwater was black last night. That means they had fun, too. I love this time of year!
love the new A&C life logo! please let me know or keep the blog updated with Maks swimming progress! I’m interested in Owen taking swimming lessons…who by the way says his teeth are loose everyday too!
Elisabeth is beautiful and strong, can’t believe that one picture she’s holding her head up!
the photo logo is great! I saw that bouncy thing when I left too/ thought about bringing my boys back out, but we didn’t… y’all take such great candid pictures of your kiddos! Makgill did great in swim class on Saturday- looking forward to seeing him again 🙂
