Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a wonderful day filled with family and friends, and of course, great food! I was thinking about last year’s Thanksgiving, and realized that I have very few memories of it. And it was before I took on the “family” side of this blog, so I can’t go back and read about it. For that reason, I’ve decided to do a play-by-play of our day. So next year, I can remember!

One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving has always been the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I had a hunch that the kids might also enjoy it for the first time this year, and they did! We had so much fun watching it together as a family, and even had a little “breakfast picnic” on the floor in the den.

After a delicious breakfast, we went on a walk/bike ride.

About midway through, Mak hops off his bike and unscrews the top off of his bell. He was “checking the oil”. This is what I LOVE about little boys!

We made friends with some dogs, and then headed back home to watch the rest of the Parade and the Dog Show.

Mak talked to Ma-Ma and Pa-Pa (Collin’s parents) for about twenty minutes! He’s never talked to anyone for that long on the phone!

Baby CB went down for a nap, so Collin, Mak, and I put up the Christmas tree. I can’t wait to decorate it with the kids!

And then it was time to head to Li-Li and Boom-Boom’s for the FOOD! We had a huge crowd, tons of yummy food, and a GREAT evening!

This was such a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day, spent with so many people we love. We missed Collin’s family, and look forward to Christmas with them! Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
