teeny-tiny, itty-bitty Tess

I warned y’all that there would be quite a few sessions of my sweet niece, Tess, come December. So, here she is again. But, how could anyone mind looking at this impossibly precious newborn? Y’all will enjoy the Tess overload, right? I hope so, because we sure are enjoying her! Collin had a session that needed to reschedule at the last minute this morning, so Rebecca brought Tess in for her two week session. I can’t even come close to telling you how thrilled I am with what Collin got! These portraits are just so precious to me, because we all know how fleeting these first few weeks are. Not too long from now, Tess will be holding that pretty head up, smiling at us, and not looking cross-eyed when her eyes are open. 🙂 But right now, this sweet little two week old is so content to lie there curled up into positions that only newborns consider comfortable. That is why we stress the importance of calling EARLY to schedule your newborn session! Too many times we get calls from new moms who want that perfect newborn portrait, but their baby is already six weeks old. At that age we can still capture amazing moments, but that teeny-tiny stage has already passed. If you want the newborn stage, it is vital to call us when you are still pregnant! We adore having brand new babies in here, but it does require some careful planning!

This baby scale is more than just a prop. It’s been in our family since my Dad was a newborn! And nearly every baby on his side of the family has used it. I love that we were able to use it in Tess’ session!

Just bareley over 8 pounds!
