She Saturday Limited Edition

I just love it when a plan comes together at the last minute. Collin and I are SO last minute people. We try not to be, but we just are. We got an idea in our heads for a particular look that we wanted to offer as a Limited Edition at She Saturday. Problem: we did not have the background yet and it needed to be custom made. Oh, and She Saturday was right around the corner. Hmmmm…How’re we gonna make this work?

First let me tell you about “the look” of this one. Do you get emails and catalogs from Tea? If you are a man I’d say probably not and you more than likely think I am writing about a drink. If you are a Momma to young kids, maybe you do, maybe you don’t. Anyway, if you don’t know, Tea is a super cute, super comfy clothing line for kids. And I ALWAYS love their catalogs. The latest Fall Catalog is one of my favorites ever…very rustic. There is one image of a young girl standing against an old weathered white wood barn wall. I LOVE that look! It’s perfect for kids or babies. I knew it was what I wanted for She Saturday. I showed it to Collin and he made it happen, the way pretty much all of our Limited Editions come about. I have a vision but no clue of a way to make it happen…he makes it happen even better than what I have in my head. I love my husband.

So, the background came in this week and we had “the look”. Now…the session fee. How to do this one? Really? We didn’t want to have a session fee. She Saturday is something we have participated in since the first year it started and we always LOVE it. It is such a fun day of meeting new people, reconnecting with old friends…it’s just FUN. We wanted people to be able to just stop by and have a portrait of their baby made, whether they were planning on it or not. But then we also knew that we would really like to tie in a local charity if at all possible…but what? How???

And THEN…we had our Small Group tonight. Our group has been talking about service projects in Florence that we could be a part of and my brother mentioned a need of a local woman who is about to have a baby. I really don’t know details, but the plain and simple fact is she is about to have a baby and she has a lot of needs to be met. As a group we decided to do a Baby Shower for her. But then we started thinking, maybe that can be the session fee? I mean, our studio is pretty much centered around families…babies and kids, it’s who we photograph the most.

SO…to make a long story short…we will be photographing at She Saturday at The Civic Center THIS Saturday, Sept 18th. We will be taking appointments, but appointments are not necessary. The look is perfect for babies and kids. It is a very small set because space is so limited in our booth, so we will only be able to photograph one child at a time. We will have tutus available for use if you would like. There is NO session fee. However, if you would like, we would love for you to bring a baby item or give a monetary donation (at whatever amount you choose). The baby item does not need to be brand new. Basically, if you’d re-use it on your own kid we would be happy to take it. The needs of this woman that I mentioned earlier will be met first. If there are doubles of items or after her needs are met we will then donate to A Choice to M8K, a local crisis pregnancy center. We would love to get lots of items to help out some special babies in Florence County!

Proofing will be done online. ALSO…PACKAGES will be offered for this Limited Edition!!! That only happens at Christmas! Packages start at $110 and we will have all package options available for you to see at the session. We will also have Limited Edition pricing on our finished portraits (up to 50% off normal prices). Call 665-4646 to set up an appointment, and we’ll see you a The Civic Center this Saturday!

Aron, I AM COMING to Florence sometime for one of these! I have been trying to think of a way to get you down here or me up there for quite some time! Every time I check your blog, in fact! I think this is the year it’s going to happen 😉 Not only do I want your husband to photograph my children, but I can’t wait to meet you 🙂 I would come to this one, but we will be in your favorite place – WDW!! Can’t wait to see how they turn out – as always, I know they will be great!ReplyCancel
