Collin and I had so much fun this weekend! We spent the day yesterday photographing this beautiful couple’s wedding. In a weird way photographing weddings is almost like a date for us…no, we definitely don’t get much one on one time, but we are together, not responsible for any children, doing what we love to do. I LOVE watching Collin work. He inspires me so much and I learn a ton from him every time he’s behind the camera. And I can’t watch a bride walk down the aisle without tearing up, no matter how many times I’ve seen it. Something about that music and seeing her glance at her Daddy for their final walk where she is only his girl…watching every person in the church stand to focus only on her…watching her Beloved’s eyes as he sees her in her wedding dress for the first time…I get emotional every single time. I’m a Sap. And I’m okay with it. 🙂 So, yes, I very much enjoyed sharing this special day with Shannon and Mark.
Their Engagement session was done at The Columns, another thing that makes me a little bit sappy because that’s where Collin and I had our wedding reception…nearly TEN years ago. WOW. I really, REALLY can’t believe it’s been that long! They were such a fun couple to work with and I just love these images from their session.
Oh, and Shannon’s bridal session??? GORGEOUS!!! It was also done at The Columns and I LOVE it! There were so many to choose from…Collin and I had a difficult time narrowing it down to the favorites. Apparantly her mom did as well because she ended up with the most FUN bridal portrait collection I have ever seen. And the one that Shannon chose for herself was stunning…just like Shannon. 🙂
The wedding itself was perfect. Shannon had so much fun with the day and was truly one of the most laid-back brides I have ever seen. She and Mark are so clearly in love with one another and so excited about their future together. Being around them on their wedding day just made me smile. Thank you, Shannon and Mark, for choosing us to be there to document this important day. Apart from my relationship with Christ, marrying Collin is the BEST thing I have ever done. It’s clear that the two of you feel the same way. I can’t wait to see your marriage grow. Oh Yeah, and I REALLY can’t wait to hear where the Honeymoon was! Mark had a big surprise trip planned out for his new bride. Can’t wait to hear about it! Here’s a slideshow of the wedding day fun!
Beautiful!
