So many times people ask us what we do with the kids while we are working with clients. Most of the time Mak and CB do a pretty great job of playing peacefully together when we are working. We really are blessed in that they actually enjoy being together and are at ages where they can be trusted to play alone in another room for short time periods. Of course there are the occasional squabbles and screams or peeks into the studio to see what’s going on, but for the most part we’ve come up with a situation that works for us. Well, yesterday was a different story. Miss CB fell asleep on the couch before I could feed her lunch and woke up just in time to go pick Mak up from school. I was planning on taking a lunch for her to eat in the car, but she wanted pimento cheese on crackers and, well, that’s not really a car snack, ya know? Sooo…I told her I would run by Sonic after we picked Mak up and get her a milkshake for lunch. Don’t judge. 🙂 We got the milkshake…cookies and cream…and headed back home. I was in a hurry because Collin was doing a session that I really wanted to help him out with. So I left my 3 and 5 year old in the kitchen with their milkshakes while I went into the studio. And, of course, a few minutes later Miss Priss comes running into the studio, covered from head to toe in sticky milkshake MESS!!! And there was a lovely trail of that sticky mess leading from the kitchen to the studio. Nice, right? Thankfully, Suzanne (the one who was here for the session), has a 3 year old as well and thought the entire situation was hilarious. I promptly excused myself to mop up the floor and clean up my daughter. But not before I snapped these pics of my bearded baby. Just wanted to jot this little story down so I could always remember what it’s like to live with a 3 year old, 5 year old, and a portrait studio all under one roof. I LOVE it. Life is Great!
that is the cutest messy face i’ve ever seen!
Love it! Even with chocolate face, she is still stunningly beautiful!
Thanks, Ladies!
