Clara Beth continued to throw up until about 8:00 on Thursday night, then went to bed at 9:00 and slept until 2:30. From that point she was not throwing up anymore, but she wasn’t sleeping either. She stayed in bed with Collin and me, and we had a couple hours sleep between 2:30 and 6:00 when we finally decided to get up. She REALLY wanted water, so we gave her a tiny bit, but she threw it up. That was the last time, though, and she was fine all day on Friday. By Friday evening I was feeling pretty stir crazy so we decided to go out with my family. My parents were headed to California for a week, and everyone was getting together for supper at 301. Just before we left, Makgill started saying that his tummy hurt. We went anyway. That’s right, folks. Mommy of the year award goes right here. Mak was silent the entire ride. We made it to the restaurant, I pulled him out of the carseat, and he walked around the van and threw up all over the parking lot. Oh, I felt AWFUL. My poor, sweet boy. On the drive home he threw up one more time. We set up a little “nest” for him in our bed, and he threw up until about 1:30. He woke up and wanted water, just like CB did, so we gave him a very tiny bit. He kept that down, so we gave him more every 30 minutes or so. He threw up again mid-morning, but was fine the rest of the day. We took a good nap and even went for a little drive Saturday evening just to get out of the house. He slept great last night until about 5:30 when he came to our room asking for water. We gave him a little bit and he went back to bed. Twenty minutes later he was back in our room saying he was going to be sick. He has thrown up 4 more times this morning! I have no idea what is going on. He was fine yesterday. He’s laying on the couch now watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and it’s been about an hour since he threw up last. Maybe it’s over. I hope. There is nothing that makes a Mommy feel worse than watching her baby be sick and not being able to do a thing to help. Please pray that our boy feels better soon.
He spent Friday night in our room watching Toy Story 2. Please excuse the mess- we are in the middle of having the house painted, so everything is everyhwere. Plus, Mak broke that lamp in the background on Friday (before the throw up) 🙂
Mak this morning
Clara Beth this morning- Thank goodness she is doing fine now.
Poor Makgill! I feel so bad for y’all. I know it is terrible to have your child sick. And you have had 2 sick children (and lots of family). Lots of love to everyone. Call us if you need anything!!!
