Miss Ava Jane

I LOVE newborn. And when I say newborn, I mean NEWborn. Like, seconds, minutes, hours old…is there ever anything like that first 24 hours with your child?! It’s CRAZY overwhelming. At least it was for me. I was a sniffling, weepy MESS with both of my brand new babes. Crazy new Momma hormones bouncing all over the place and I could NOT keep them under control. I would look down at my new little one and the tears would just flow. It scared Collin…he thought something was wrong. But nothing was wrong. I was just SO amazingly, insanely in LOVE with this new little life. I felt like a Momma Bear with a new little cub and would protect this new little life forever and ever. It was the job I had been given and nothing would stop me. I LOVE that intense love!!!

Last week I was able to photograph two brand new babies in the hospital. I have to say I am LOVING this job!!! Like I said, there’s nothing like those first days with your baby…and I feel honored to share that time with families. The first baby of the week was Miss Ava Jane! Don’t you love that name?!? And it suits her so well. Ava is precious and beautiful and so so delicate. Her Momma and Daddy are already head over heels, and I know that big brother Ben will be too! We get to see Miss Ava for her first official newborn session with Collin tomorrow. And I can’t wait to love on her some more. Kate and Joel, thank you for letting me peek into your first days with your baby girl!

I love great big baby yawns!

Kate was Glowing!!! So Gorgeous! And absolutely IN LOVE with her baby girl. I mentioned on facebook that Kate apparently didn’t get the memo about looking exhausted after giving birth…she was Radiant!!

Yeah…Daddy’s already wrapped around that pretty little finger. 🙂

Is anything better than baby back wrinkles?

Thank you again, Kate and Joel! She’s Gorgeous!
