Here it is! The Disney session! Collin and I were THRILLED to make this last Disney vacation a working one by doing a session of Miss Madi while we were down there. I went to highschool with Madison’s mom, Heather, and have recently reconnected with her through facebook and the blog. By reading her blog, I’ve watched Madi grow through her first year of life, and have completely fallen in love. This baby is just precious! Those eyes, that smile, that hair…she’s GORGEOUS! But reading the stories of her everyday life in the blog that her mom has created for her is what really got me. Heather does a beautiful job of putting into words that amazing love that we all feel as moms. She and Ray are MADLY in love with their baby girl!
In fact, I could tell you all about how amazing this session was and how much fun we had. It was and we did! But, Heather did a great job of describing the session on her blog, so I’m going to let her tell you about it!
*So last week, we met Collin and Aron at Port Orleans- French Quarter to do Madison’s first birthday portrait session. I wanted a keepsake of her at 1 years old. They turned out better than I could have imagined. I see my baby everyday and think, she is so beautiful but looking at those pictures made me cry. My baby is so beautiful and her spirit, although young, shines through and touches my heart and I hope those around her. Aron and Collin were wonderful with her although Aron really had the tiring job. Madison loved her though and couldn’t understand why Aron kept putting her down and would walk away from her. There are many things in life that may seem like a waste of money to some people but I believe that all I have in life are my family, memories, and my dreams. This is all that will really ever belong to me. If I can preserve a precious memory to carry with me through life, then I believe the money is well worth it. I know that years later, I will look at that sweet baby in her green dress(from Lollie) and remember that day with my two most favorite people and I will remember how proud I was to watch my angel smile at us, pick up those leaves, and gasp when the wind hit her face. Time will only get faster from here but that day was captured and in the words of my mom, those pictures captured my Madi.*
Miss madi, you are a Beauty! We look forward to watching you as you grow up, Sweet Girl!
she is absolutely beautiful!!!!!
Gorgeous little girl and gorgeous portraits!
I hope Heather reads this….Madi is absolutely beautiful!!! And you put into words exactly how I feel about photographs. You can never replace the memories you have with your children, but sometimes you can relive them just by looking at those beautiful pictures.
I feel the same way about weddings. After it’s all said and done, the photographs are all you have left to help you remember that day. I felt that way even before my son in law was a photographer!! So start that savings account for her wedding photographs now.
Linda, thank you so much! Ray is already like, “How much?” and Are we going to do this for all of our children?”…and I’m like “Yep!” hahaha. Hey, he has his Wii and I have pictures:) He loves them too though and thinking of her getting married stresses him already as well. (Maybe knowing all the money he needs to save is part of it!) I love looking at my pictures and I know Madison will be greatful one day to see that we treasured her enough to capture her first year in a special way and in a special place.
Who knows, maybe one day she will be getting wedding pictures for free…wink.wink…Mak is a cutie. 🙂
