On Day 6 we learned about Sarah and had two CUTE extra kids join us for the evening. 🙂 The scripture was Genesis 21:1-7 and we learned about how God answers prayers. The kids talked about prayers that God has answered for them. Their little conversations were too CUTE!!!
This is Tal’s picture face. Perfect.
So then Mak decides he needs to do it. Even more perfect.
But I love this one of him. Precious Boy!!
And then there’s the ever so fun game of pushing air from one cheek to another. Seriously, try it. It’s great. 😉
And Finally…LISTENING!!!
It was Mak’s turn to hang the ornament tonight but he decided to let Tal do it since he was our guest. I think he ended up regretting that decision but thankfully didn’t make a huge deal out of it. You know how I mentioned that Mak and CB can be pretty competitive at times? Yeah, throw Tal into the mix and it just multiplies!!
Oh, Good. The face again. 🙂
That’s better.
This has been Miss CB’s favorite ornament so far. 🙂
Last night we headed out to First Presbyterian to see their Live Nativity. This has become somewhat of a tradition for us and the kids absolutely LOVE it. They have donkeys, sheep, a cow…even a camel! The Christmas story is performed by 5th and 6th graders (I think) and they have the CUTEST little Angel choir. We look forward to this night every Christmas. Definitely check it out next year if you haven’t yet!
And then it was back home to do Day 7, Isaac. Oh, by the way, we are a little behind on The Jesse Tree. I’m hoping to maybe double up a few once the kids get out of school? Or just go longer? Not sure yet. The scripture for tonight was Genesis 22:1-14 and we learned about God’s protection over us. we talked about times in our life when we have felt protected by God.
Um…yes, that’s laundry you are seeing in the background of some of these. We are doing 1 major bathroom renovation and 1 minor bathroom renovation right now and it’s turned the whole house upside down. Why we chose to do it right smack dab in the middle of the Christmas season I’m not sure. But we did. And hopefully Collin and I will have a new master bath for Christmas!
I love all the blog posts lately! I’m bummed that we missed the Live Nativity at First Pres.–we will definitely make it a point to go next year!
LOVE the pictures- Thanks sooo much for including Tal and Tess that night ( and for giving us a much needed date night!) we love you guys!
Tallon is such a CUTIE! I must admit that I started pushing air from one cheek to another after reading that 😀
We are also behind on the Jesse tree. Owen was NOT paying attention so we’ve stopped for now and I guess we’ll double up the days or do them all at once?
