He fell in love with the Farmer’s Daughter…Corey and Jamie

I have been waiting on this wedding for MONTHS. Jamie and Corey were married in the steamy hot, sweltering South Carolina heat on Saturday night…just as the sun was setting over her Daddy’s field. It was GORGEOUS. No other way to describe it. The old white barn was in the background with the E.J. Wiggins Grocery sign hanging in just the right spot. “Hubert”, the old farm truck, sat right beside the guests. Jamie and Corey exchanged their vows under a beautiful mountain laurel arbor that had the most sweet smelling, amazingly beautiful flowers hanging from every possible spot. Jamie has grown up on this farm and it is in her blood. You can feel the love that they all have for this land when you talk to them. We heard it from Jamie’s daddy before the ceremony as he showed us the bucket that his father used to milk cows when he was a little boy…the old farm table…the plow that the mules used to pull. It’s all part of their family history and it’s all right there, surrounding them everyday. Then during the reception when Jamie’s momma told us about moving to the farm when she was two weeks away from delivering Jamie…and how she’s loved it ever since and would never look back. There are four Wiggins girls and throughout the day we heard tidbits of family history from each of them. Tootie (Seriously, BEST nickname EVER! Her real name is Juliann), Jamie’s youngest sister, told us how boys aren’t allowed down the bedroom hallway in the house until after the wedding. I LOVE that. Definitely a rule that we will be stealing for our own home. And to see that teeny, beautiful bride hop out of her great big pick up truck with “Wiggins Family Farm” proudly displayed across the tailgate is perfect. This IS a farming family. They all love it and you feel that love just by stepping out of your car and onto their property. It’s a feeling that you could never have in any residential neighborhood. And it was the PERFECT setting for Jamie and Corey’s wedding.

We met Jamie and Corey a few months ago in Charleston when we did their Engagement session and Jamie’s Bridal session (which is another thing I can’t wait to share with you! be on the look-out for that session on the blog SOON!). We had so much fun wandering around downtown Charleston with them, and I just knew the wedding would be great. I was not disappointed! From the getting ready…to the pre-ceremony champaign welcome…to the sunset ceremony…and finally to watching the two of them dance the night away beside the old white barn…it was PERFECT. I love this place, this wedding, and especially these two people. We feel honored to have been a part of this beautiful day. Thank you, Jamie and Corey. Oh, and I think we are putting our house on the market and moving to the country. And I’m only sort of kidding. 😉

The day started with the girls getting ready at The Grove Inn in Marion. It was beautiful…and they had FUN!!

From here, the girls headed to the ceremony site, Jamie’s family home…

This night was just so much fun…full of dancing and hilarious moments. A perfect reception!

By the way…not only is Jamie a stunning bride…the girl can DANCE.
