We had the BEST day today! We woke up like we always do, and Collin, Mak and I had breakfast while the sweet baby slept upstairs. Then Collin leaves to take Mak to school. And about 10 minutes later I get a phone call from Collin. “Um, Sweetie, I’m just guessing here, but I don’t think Makgill has school today.” Evidently, there were about 5 cars in the parking lot and no cars in the carline…OOPS! Mommy goofed! It was parent-teacher conference day, and I had completely forgotten!
But, wait…NO school??? And today is Monday, so no Studio work for Collin??? WOOOOHOOOOO, We’re going to the Beach! I’ve been itching to take my boy back to the Aquarium, and today turned out to be the perfect day. I LOVE waking up with plans for a nothing special kind of day and then doing something fun!
We made a quick stop at the Disney Store, and then headed to Johnny Rocket’s for lunch. Mak loved the music and the chili cheese fries.
So did Baby CB!
She was mesmerized…
By this!
This is what happens when you take away Miss CB’s milkshake too soon!
On to the Aquarium! By the way- I’ve been searching for Big Brother/Little Sister shirts for the kids. Well, I found some that were really cute, but they were $38 apiece (WHAT?!? Yeah- that’s NOT gonna happen). So anyway, Carlisle had the cutest one on the other day, and I saw it last night at Toys R Us. And they were only $9! MUCH Better! Thanks for the sibling fashion inspiration, Carlisle!
Clara Beth wanted to get her little hands on EVERYTHING. Nothing was too gross for her!
Cuties in the Fish Tank
My strong little Pirate!
They were both in awe of all of the fish. Makgill loved the sharks and Clara Beth loved everything.
Collin picked up a horseshoe crab! Mak and I weren’t very impressed, but Clara Beth wanted to touch it!
My favorite pictures of the day. They can be so sweet together!
Working up the nerve to touch a stingray…
Seeing how the Pirates live. We shot a cannon,
and ate some hardtack (Mak actually put his mouth on it before we could stop him)!
We had such a great time together, and even made it back in time for our parent-teacher conference!
What a completely FUN family day! I love family days…just mom, dad, and kiddos. What special time!!! Love CB’s “gimme my milkshake” face!!! Glad you all had a good time.
Yeah, I’m back! I’ve been sort-of out of town. I have SO many updates to make – It’s going to take me forever -uuuggghhh. Looks like you guys have been having a great time! Love the siblings shirts. Funny I’ve just started looking for them online myself. Well I’m glad you guys are doing well. I’ll be good to get my Halloween pix up in the next couple of days. 😀
sooo FUN- glad you guys had a fantastic family day- those are the best!!!
Seeing how your family enjoys each other is so precious. I look forward to fun family days like that when Abby and Josie can hold hands and explore together!
