Y’all! It’s freezing out there this morning. Almost literally. What in the world is that all about?! I mean, I’m all for a little nip in the air in October, but come on…this is SOUTH CAROLINA. I’m just not ready for winter temps yet. The chill in the air does do a good job of getting me ready for Christmas in the studio, though!! I know it’s weird. It’s not even Halloween and already there’s a fully decorated Christmas tree taking residence in the corner of the studio and we have a barn decked out in Christmas wreaths in the portrait garden. Such is the life of a photographer. So yes, it’s early, but it has to be in order to insure that your little Christmas cuties get on Christmas cards in time! And I’m SO SO excited about the sessions this year! Basically we have transformed the portrait garden into a great big Christmas tree farm. Rows of trees…a rustic old barn…little Christmas touches in every direction that you look! Buck the Truck will most definitely be back, as will the pretty red Santa sleigh, and making her Christmas debut this year is Shirley Bug! She looks mighty cute decked out with presents and a tree! This set is huge so let us know your absolute favorite look when you are booking and we will plan to focus on that spot for you. These Tree Farm sessions will be offered by appointment only November 4-7 and 11-14. Email or call soon to reserve your session time!
Now for our indoor Christmas option…LOVE! Think warm, homey, cottagey (I don’t even think that’s a word, but you get me, right?). What you need to understand is that Chip and JoJo are my BFFs. They just don’t realize it. I wanted one thing for the indoor set this year: Shiplap! Mentioned that to Collin and he made it happen. See? It’s like I’ve got my own Chip. 😉 For real, though, I am in love with how our new shiplap studio wall turned out. Combined with the pine floors in the studio it gives the exact look that I was hoping for with our Christmas sessions this year. Picture an old iron daybed piled high with cozy quilts and comfy pillows, red berry wreaths hanging on the white shiplap wall (Glory!!), and a glowing tree in the corner. This set works well with your little ones snuggled in their Christmas pajamas reading your family’s favorite Christmas story, or pretty much any favorite Christmas outfit that you have! We are so excited about our Cottage Christmas set! These sessions will be Nov 4-7 and 11-14 as well, and are by appointment only. Give us a call or send an email if we can schedule yours!
There’s the beginning of Christmas 2015. We do have a few more surprises to add to the sets, but this will give you a good idea of the direction we are heading. As always, sessions are $45 or FREE for our Five Year Plan members, and Christmas cards are available. To schedule your appointment email Collin at collin@cmsmithportraits.com or give the studio a call at 843-665-4646. We are so excited to get things started in a few weeks!
Hi! I would love to schedule an appointment for the Christmas sessions! If you have a spot on either the 7th or the 14th, that would be great! I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you!
