Every now and then we meet someone for a session and immediately click with the entire group. That’s how it was for Deanna’s maternity session. She showed up with her best friend and mom, and the five of us laughed through the session like we’d known each other for years. They were absolutely hilarious. This momma to be has an INCREDIBLE support system. And that’s a really great thing, because her husband is halfway across the world protecting our freedom. Mine and Yours. The freedom of your kids and mine. In fact, he’s going to miss the birth of his firstborn because he’s over there doing that for us. Stop and let that sink in for a few minutes. Harper will arrive in just a few short weeks, into the arms of a momma who loves her like crazy and plenty of grandparent/aunt/uncle/friend arms who will be eager to love on her. And her Daddy will welcome her as well…but he won’t be able to physically hold his sweet girl, or wrap his arms around his wife as she becomes a mother. That’s an AMAZING sacrifice that every single one of them are making and I’m SO humbled at the thought that they would go through this to protect the freedom of our country. God bless that Daddy who is serving way over there! Oh, but can you even imagine how SWEET that reunion will be when he sees his baby girl for the first time?!? I can’t wait. It’s going to be beautiful. Jesse, we can never express to you how thankful we are for the sacrifices that you and all of your soldier friends make for us. We promise to give you beautiful images of your sweet girl so you can know exactly what she looks like! We can’t wait to meet you! And Deanna, we understand that you are making a sacrifice as well. Doing the entire pregnancy/new baby thing while your beloved is so far away. You are SO Brave!!! Your sweet little family of three will all be under one roof before you know it!
Oh but what about an AC Life session for the homecoming!! How precious would those photos be!
YES!!! Already planned, Anna Weston! Although, I’m a little scared that everything would be blurry due to the photographer’s shaking hands and tears. 😉 I’ll definitely be bringing Collin along to that A&C Life session!
