Collin’s Birthday

I know I mentioned a few weeks ago that I would be posting about our family life on this blog again. And since then, I’ve been doing a pretty bad job with it. Sorry about that! I plan to get us caught up, and then start a “Weekly Wrap-up” series of our family stuff that I will post on Sunday nights. I need y’all to hold me accountable, though! It’s so important to me to document our family stuff!

Collin’s birthday was April 14th and fell over Spring Break this year. We always keep things fairly light at the studio over the week of Spring Break because…have y’all noticed this?…Florence pretty much relocates to the beach over Spring Break. Which I love! I’m so thankful to live in this great state where we can hop over to the beach pretty much anytime! So, at the last minute we planned a short little get-away to celebrate Collin’s 33rd birthday! Unfortunately, we planned it over the two most rainy, DREARY days of Spring Break. Oh well. It was still nice to get away and we had a great time!

Did I mention that it was DREARY??? This was our view…and it never got sunnier than this. 🙁 In fact, I left most pics from this trip in black and white because it just fit better.

Monday morning we took a trip to Krispy Kreme! The kids could stay here for hours watching them roll out the doughnuts. And is there anything better on this earth than an ooey-gooey, Hot Now Krispy Kreme doughnut? I think not!

Doughnut eating is SERIOUS business for Miss CB.

iphone Fun!

She HATES having sticky/messy hands. You would think that would make her a neater eater, right? Yeah, not so much.

LOVE this one of them! Oh, I Love my Babies!!!

I seriously can’t believe how big he is. He’s growing at lightning speed and I can’t figure out how to make it stop!

After our bellies were full we made our way to the new Tomlinsons at North Myrtle Beach. GREAT New Store!!! I know I may be biased because it’s my family’s store, but really they had so much fun stuff in there!

That afternoon we played on the beach for a little while. Still not sunny, but fun anyway.

This summer at the beach is going to be so much fun with them! They are at great ages!

Mak made a “sandman”. 🙂

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Baby! Tuesday was Collin’s birthday. I am SO BLESSED to be married to this man! Our great friends the Grangers came down the night before to help us celebrate.

The Birthday breakfast was at a pancake house. Here’s Mak and Parson drinking their “coffee water”.

Sweet Lilah!

My Baby!

Parson and Mak entertained themselves with mazes and writing their favorite words.

And then we went to that Nascar Speedpark so the boys could play. Probably not something we will do again. It seemed like a lot of the cars were broken and most of the rides were closed down.

Best friend hugs!

My favorite men!

Brandon kept getting stuck with the broken, slow cars!

Mak was able to drive on one of the tracks by himself. He took this VERY seriously. I love the determination in his face!

And finally Clara Beth and I took a spin in the gas cans. She loved it!

We went shopping a little bit before heading back to Florence. Although it wasn’t the perfect beach weather that I had hoped for, we still had a fun time celebrating Collin’s birthday. I love you, Babe! Happy Birthday!!!
