There will be a sappy post about my baby turning four in the near future…I’m just not ready for it yet. Don’t tell anyone, but I’m still kind of pretending that she’s not growing up. Shhhh…;)
Her birthday was super simple. We did it in my parent’s backyard. Which just happens to back up to the Briggs playground. Ummm…HELLO!?!?! Why have I not done this every year for every party?? It was the simplest thing ever. The party was very important to CB this year. She talked about it non-stop for months. But I really didn’t feel like doing a great big over the top thing and having 3000 people there. I wanted it small and simple with the people that Clara Beth sees on a regular basis. We both got what we wanted. It was easy easy for me but she had so much fun and felt super loved by her little buddies. Which is really all I care about. Anyway, I’ll get to the party later. Let’s start with the birthday girl on her birthday morning. With her breakfast birthday cupcake. A Smith family Tradition. 🙂
I love her beautiful early morning face and her bed head.
He was excited about the birthday breakfast, too. I also love his early morning face…slightly chubby and babyish. And so cute!
This series makes me so happy…especially the way her eyes cross in the last two. LOVE.
Mmmmmmm…..
Way more sugar than should ever be consumed at 7am. But they love it.
We were looking through these pictures tonight and she said “Mommy, let’s get rid of the ones where my bruver is showing me the food in his mouf. Dat’s So Gross.”
We then headed over to my Mom and Dad’s to get ready for the party. We went ahead and gave her the present from us…a Hello Kitty bike complete with babydoll seat on the back. Oh Yeah. Momma and Daddy scored big time. She has wanted it “foreva and eva”. She was happy. We were happy. 🙂
And then the cake…Oh, the CAKE!!! The party was to be simple but the cake was not. I had a vision, I just couldn’t put it into words. But Jennifer Robinson met and exceeded them. I LOVE. THIS. CAKE. And so did the Birthday Girl.
Did I mention that this is the first Hello Kitty cake Jennifer has ever done? She nailed it.
Time to greet some little party peeps!
I love their love!
Off to the PLAYGROUND!!!!
My dad is still Super Fun. 🙂
Oh, Nicholas. Please forgive me for posting this one. Trust me, it could have been worse. There’s another one. 🙂
She was a HAPPY Birthday girl.
Boys being boys…
Pinata Time!!
I love this. Parson decided this gig was taking way too long and he was going to expediate the process by pulling ALL strings at one time. Love him!
Candy Insanity
Cake Time!!!
Mom of the Year forgot the #4 candle. Or any candles for that matter. And all Li-Li had was a three. We made do.
Here she is looking at her buddy Kennedy saying “Can you believe this? My Mom’s SO lame. I’m 4, not 3.”
And then came the big one. For CB AND Mak. And Momma and Daddy, too…shhh…
He read the note…
He told his sister…
We’re going to Disney World!!!! NOW. For ONE day. It was SO fun.
We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and were upgraded to this view and a bunk bed room when we got there. It was a crazy fast trip and we {gasp!} didn’t even take the camera out of the room. Yes, I do regret that decision. Won’t happen again. 🙂
Her birthday was great. For all of us. Happy Birthday, Miss CB!!!! We LOVE you like CRAZY, Baby Girl!!!
oh my goodness, that cake is fabulous! i need her info for layla’s birthday cake! looks like a PERFECT party! i love CB and Lilah’s matching oufits, those two are precious friends! and those birthday morning cupcake pictures….LOVE! CB does have the best bed head!
It was a Great party!!! and Gillian, my girl literally took CB’s invitation(which was a photo of CB in her outfit) w/ her to Target to get the “PERFECT” outfit!!!! it took hours of wandering from clothing rack to clothing rack 😉 and she’s only FOUR!
That was such a good birthday party idea!! Ricky and I have been known to frequent the swings at Briggs when in Florence, it’s a perfect evening stroll from my parent’s house. I remember when they first built the green stuff with the balance beam and stuff it was SUCH a big deal for the Patterson little girls 🙂
Jess, that is so cute, sweet, and funny!
