A CUGE Mountain and the end of “Paddy-Ball”

I know I’ve mentioned here before how much I adore Mak and CB’s “baby words”. Neither one of my kids are babies anymore but sometimes they still come out with these words that they either mistakenly pronounce or simply make up and think they are saying correctly. Those words are my favorites and I’m always...

My morning with Miss Anna…A&C Life

I fell in love with this sweet girl when she was six months old. She had the most enormous eyes you have ever seen. She sucked her thumb when she was sleepy. She was teeny-tiny, itty-bitty…and SO SOOOO Sweet. Since that session that Collin did a year and a half ago I have watched this...

OMG!!!! (Yes, I know that sounds like a woman, but I DOOO not care!!) This is my BEAUTIFUL BABY!!! Everything about this is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I really hate I was “unavailable”. Mom woke me early and put me to work. I was literally pulling the vacuum cleaner into our bedroom (to hide it) when Aron was walking in. Then, I needed a shower bad. I was not about to let Aron get a photo of my hair matted on one side and sticking up on the other. Shower or no shower, I do not belong anywhere near these photos, but I never mind folks seeing how much of a special relationship Anna and I have. My family is my world!ReplyCancel

State of the Homeschool

Okay, I need to just face it. This whole blog devoted to homeschool thing just isn’t gonna happen. I have all of this laundry that needs to be done. And cooking. And helping out in the studio. And blogging on this blog. And, Oh Yeah…school. There’s just not enough time for a new blog. I...

You are doing the right thing.

I don’t think anybody ever told me that while I was homeschooling. You ARE! I am strongly considering it for next year. Simon’s first week of 2nd grade has been awesome as far as MY free time goes. Ah, but the work load. He was given eight pages of homework this week. EIGHT pages, oh my. He finished them in less than 10 minutes. Some pages didn’t even take him a whole minute. That means, my kid is either the smartest kid in the entire world OR the work is much, much too simple.

I’m not even joking, there was a page of “Color the smallest circle green. Color the biggest triangle blue.” In second grade.

I know it’s the first week and all, but come on. The expectations are so frustratingly low, homeschooling may just be our only option.

I love reading these posts! Keep up the good work!

Andrew, your daughter rides around all morning in a jeep with an older guy and doesn’t tell you about it?! I’d be concerned… 😉

And Chrissy, Thank you!!! I’m amazed at the things I am teaching him, thinking he really can’t be old enough to get it…but he is. I love that we can go at his pace and move on immediately when he has mastered a concept. Or take a few extra days when he needs more help. Thank you for your encouragement. It really means a lot! And please let me know when/if y’all are coming to Flo-town!!ReplyCancel

Yesterday…

I went on a bear hunt. With three of the cutest, happiest, most fun loving little boys you will ever meet. Collin has been photographing Sweet Isaac since he was a teeny baby. And now he’s a THREE year old. And he’s in pre-school. It seriously blows my mind how fast kids grow up. Isaac...
