Audrey Lou and Family!

Remember the sweet 1st birthday party that I photographed a few weeks back? The one with all of the daffodils and pretty yellow things? Well, just a few days before the party Miss Audrey came in for her first birthday session with Collin. And then about a week after that we headed out to Hartsville for their family session. This year has been so much fun getting to know Mark, Bethany and their pretty girl, Audrey. They are such a fun family and we feel blessed to have been a part of Audrey’s life since she was just a teeny little newborn. I was just reading Bethany’s blog a few minutes ago, and I wanted to share in this post some of the things she wrote there.

The first, “Realization: Your dream house has more to do with the home part & the family that lives inside and less to do with the actual house. I am living in my dream house these days.”

And the second, “What I want more of: looking in on my sleeping baby, pictures with me, mark and audrey in them, written down remembered moments, time in right now.”

Perfect. See? This is why I love these people. I couldn’t have possibly said it better myself and I’m so glad I read this post when I did! Bethany, your love for your family is a beautiful thing. I can feel it every time I am around you! Thank you for letting us be a part of it!

The chair. I knew I loved the chair the minute they pulled it out of their Volkswagen at the first session. But now that the year is over? OH. MY. GRACIOUS. I want to shrink my babies back down to their first year, steal this chair, and do this series with them. I LOVE Miss Audrey and her chair. =)

And now the Super Fun family session!! Bethany and Mark have always loved this tree-lined street in Hartsville. Who wouldn’t?! It’s GORGEOUS. They had wedding portraits there, maternity portraits there…it was only natural that we do a family portrait there with Baby Audrey. We were all so excited about it. We arrive for the session and…BIG PROBLEM. Great big ugly GIANT utility trucks were lining the beautiful tree-lined street. What to do? Mark mentions the farm that is in Bethany’s family on the edge of town. We go there. On the way, Collin reaches across the front seat and squeezes my hand (I love it when he does that) and like a little boy excited about a new toy says “I hope it’s that farm I always talk about when we come over here.” Y’ALL. IT WAS. I just love seeing my husband get excited over a new location to work in. And he was So Excited to be working here! Oh, and when we made it back into town the utility trucks were leaving so we photographed in the street, too. YAY for a productive evening! These are some of my favorite family portraits ever!! Remember, this year when you have a family portrait created you are entered to win a DISNEY WORLD VACATION!!!!!! (Call the studio for details, some restrictions apply) =)
