I’ll start with our newest set this year…Lights of Christmas!! I. LOVE. THIS. Christmas set!!! You know that warm fuzzy, glowy, magical, happy feeling that you get around Christmas? The one that you feel on Christmas Eve when you are in church holding that candle with hundreds of other people singing Silent Night and reflecting on the birth of that teeny baby that changed the world so long ago? Or the look in your four year old’s eyes as you read to her ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and set cookies on the hearth for Santa? Or the excitement that your six year old expresses over seeing insanely tacky displays of Christmas lights and you realize that in the scheme of life…he really is still so small. You know, that feeling. I LOVE that feeling. And I love this season. I’m not one of those people who gets bent out of shape when I see the Christmas decorations in stores in September. Bring it. I wish we could celebrate for three whole months. I don’t get tired of the Christmas carols on the radio, and Collin and I happily load up the kids in the car every evening during the month of December, snuggled in their Christmas pajamas, to explore yet another neighborhood decorated with lights. And, oh yeah…the tackier the better. I LOVE it.
So that’s where this year’s Christmas set, Lights of Christmas, came from. Not the tacky displays…we love those but we understand that they probably aren’t what you want on your Christmas card. But the pretty, soft, magical white lights. When we brought Mak and Clara Beth into the studio to show them this set they both did that little “gasp of excitement” thing and their eyes got so big with wide-eyed excitement. That’s exactly the reaction I was hoping for. This set will be available by appointment November 13, 15, 16 and 17th.
Next we have Christmas Candy Shop. We offered this one last year and it was SOOOO much fun!! We had so many people requesting that we bring it back again this year…so we are! Christmas Candy Shop will be available by appointment on November 27, 29 and 30th.
And we will also have two outdoor sets available this year. The first is one that was offered last year, Home for the Holidays. It screams “Christmas” to me!! I love seeing how people decorate their front doors for Christmas…and I’m a big fan of the holly berries. =) This set is available on ALL Christmas dates: November 13, 15, 16, 17, 27, 29 and 30.
And the last one. Another favorite of mine. Not a thing about it screams Christmas. It’s portraits that will hang on your walls for years and years and no one will ever call it a “Christmas” portrait. In fact, we photographed our own family in this set on Friday afternoon and I like it so much that I have designed a HUGE wall collage of portraits to hang in our foyer. I’m SO Excited about my new wall!! I’ll post pictures of it as soon as it’s up! This look will be done in our portrait garden and will be offered on all of our Christmas portraits dates, Nov 13, 15, 16, 17, 27, 29 and 30.
