I’ve mentioned in the past that Clara Beth is a tu-tu lovin’ girl. Well, lately it’s been a love-hate relationship between her and the tu-tu. One day she loves it, the next she hates it and wants NOTHING to do with it. I’ve been a little worried about it, because her Halloween costume is a tu-tu, and I don’t want to fight her to wear it. Anyway, tonight she wanted to read from her “Storybook for Girls” so we read this cute little story about a girl named Tilly and her tu-tu. Then we read a story about some little girls getting ready for a Ballet Recital. Well, these stories turned her back on to the tu-tu (for tonight anyway)! She wanted to put on lip gloss (from Carlisle’s first birthday goodie bag- Thanks, Carlisle!), and then she crawled upstairs, pointed to her tu-tu and patted her lap and said “tu-tu, pease?”. So we put the tu-tu on and came back downstairs. From there she noticed the ballet shoes and tights on the girls in the book. She crawled back upstairs, and pointed me to her ballet shoes. I didn’t even know that she knew I had bought these. They’re for her Christmas dress! The whole thing was very amusing. It was an interesting look, for sure!
Oh- I forgot to mention the sticker that she wanted on her shirt…the label from a magazine that came in today.
Terrific-terrific-terrific! The love-fest getaway looked fabulous and I am thrilled for you two lovebirds! How fun that you had a hot date all weekend! AND, that your babes were SO well cared for while you were gone. The tu-tu/lip-gloss/ballet shoes fiasco is wonderful. She is truly a girly girl…and has really funky-fresh style! Tell her I LOVE it!!
So glad she has a style that’s all her own…that’s the way it should be…why do we have to do only what other girls are doing??? Let’s all be ourselves like Clara Beth!
