Don&#8217;t tell anyone, but I&#8217;m still kind of pretending that she&#8217;s not growing up.  Shhhh&#8230;;)<\/p>\n<p>Her birthday was super simple.  We did it in my parent&#8217;s backyard.  Which just happens to back up to the Briggs playground.  Ummm&#8230;HELLO!?!?!  Why have I not done this every year for every party??  It was the simplest thing ever.  The party was very important to CB this year.  She talked about it non-stop for months.  But I really didn&#8217;t feel like doing a great big over the top thing and having 3000 people there.  I wanted it small and simple with the people that Clara Beth sees on a regular basis.  We both got what we wanted.  It was easy easy for me but she had so much fun and felt super loved by her little buddies.  Which is really all I care about.  Anyway, I&#8217;ll get to the party later.  Let&#8217;s start with the birthday girl on her birthday morning.  With her breakfast birthday cupcake. I also love his early morning face&#8230;slightly chubby and babyish. Dat&#8217;s So Gross.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9948\" title=\"Proof-033\" src=\"https:\/\/cmsmithportraits.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Proof-033.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"608\" height=\"426\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We then headed over to my Mom and Dad&#8217;s to get ready for the party.  We went ahead and gave her the present from us&#8230;a Hello Kitty bike complete with babydoll seat on the back.  Oh Yeah.  Momma and Daddy scored big time.  She has wanted it &#8220;foreva and eva&#8221;.  She was happy. The party was to be simple but the cake was not.  I had a vision, I just couldn&#8217;t put it into words.  But Jennifer Robinson met and exceeded them.  I LOVE. THIS. CAKE. NOW.  For ONE day. It was a crazy fast trip and we {gasp!} didn&#8217;t even take the camera out of the room.  Yes, I do regret that decision.
