I think maybe I’m really meant to live in the country. Collin and I started out our marriage in the country. Up in Taylors, SC. We lived in the teeny-tiny OOOOLD home that my great grandparents built and raised their family in. How awesome is that? While living there I don’t think I truly appreciated what that meant. I was starting out my married life in the exact home that my GREAT grandparents lived in. The home my mom would run “down the path” to every day to visit her Granny. It had two tiny bedrooms and the most wonderful little sunporch. Doors with the original glass windows and old glass doorknobs. It was COLD. I don’t care what you do, heat just plain does NOT work in a nearly hundred year old home. And those wood floors are FREEZING when you hop out of bed on a winter morning. But I didn’t care. It was perfect. Our bedroom looked out over the most gorgeous field you have ever seen. And you could walk across that field and down a path through the woods to the spring that my Pa (my great grandfather) dug as a young man. Heck, the outhouse was even still standing! I LOVED that place!!! Hmmm…maybe that would be the perfect portrait spot for our next family session?<\/p>\n

But I’m getting off track. Back to Zoe and Reese. We have been trying to get this session together since, well, FOREVER. It seems like that anyway! Something ALWAYS happens and it always falls through. Collin photographed Zoe and Reese today at their aunt and uncle’s place out in the country. This spot is just GORGEOUS!!! I asked if I could build a home out there but the response was a polite “No”. \ud83d\ude42 I don’t blame them. I’ll settle for being allowed to come along with Collin when he photographs there. Zoe and Reese are absolutely beautiful. And Zoe was sick!! Yes, we were scared that this session would be called off as well. It’s amazing what round the clock motrin and tylenol can do for a girl. \ud83d\ude42 Zoe and Reese, thanks for being so sweet!! Love Y’all!!<\/p>\n

Since this session has been such a LOOONG time coming and our schedule is so full, it was either show these on the blog or Morgan wouldn’t see these portraits of her girls until well after the first of the year. So this post is LOADED with pics. More than normal. And there are still way more that I didn’t blog. Did I mention I love this place?? Morgan, your slideshow is on the way!!<\/p>\n
