Mostly in her language, but we have also noticed advancements in that prissy missy little attitude of hers. In fact, I’m not sure the word “little” should be anywhere in the description of her attitude. It’s more like “ATTITUDE”! Lately, we’ve enjoyed several meals with high-pitched shrieking in the background because the food of her choice was not on her plate. I was much more likely to give in when Makgill hit this demanding stage. Unfortunately for Prissy Missy, Collin and I have taken several parenting Bible Studies since then and grown up a lot as parents. So she doesn’t get what she wants when pitching a fit. STINKS to be the second child! As annoying as the tantrums are, it’s also kind of funny to watch. That girl is PASSIONATE!

I have to say I’m a little sad about the language developments that are occurring. She’s losing her “baby” words. “Waw” used to be her word for water, but in the last week she has been saying “water” plain as day. Every morning she used to say “Mommy dink hot foppy” but now it’s “Mommy dink hot coffee”. “Foppy” was one of my favorite baby words, but as much as I beg, I can’t get her to say it anymore! Perhaps the saddest of them all for me, is that she has started calling Makgill “Makgill”. NOT Bub-o. Not all of the time, but often enough. She named Mak Bub-o when she was 10 months old, and I was hoping it would stick forever. I’m trying to ignore it and hope that she will go back to Bub-o. That worked during that awful time when Makgill started calling me “Mom,” not “Mommy”. We’ll see.

We’re LOVING our girl at this stage, prissy missy attitude and all!

My Mom and Dad brought her some princess sparkle shoes back from Disney this week, and she LOVES them!
