We played in snow.  We got a dog.  Sister joined us in homeschool.  We went to Disney a few times.  We discovered that we are most definitely a camping family.  We got a new cousin\/niece.  We went to the beach more times than I can count.  We had a bazillion little &#8220;nothing special&#8221; moments that turned out to be the most special things of all.  This year has been such a blessing from the Lord and I don&#8217;t want to take a single moment of it for granted.  I&#8217;m excited about welcoming in 2012&#8230;both as a family and as a studio.  Collin and I have BIG things planned for this year and we can&#8217;t wait to share them with you.  I pray that for all of us it&#8217;s a great one.<\/p>\n<p>God wants us to glorify Him&#8230;it&#8217;s what He put us on this earth to do.  And He wants to bless us with life&#8230;<em>abundant life<\/em>.  &#8220;I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.&#8221; John 10:10  <em>ENJOY <\/em>these amazing moments that He blesses us with! That&#8217;s shameful.  My resolution for 2012 is to document the four of us together more.  I will shove the camera into the hands of family members when we are with them.  And even if, as my sister-in-law says, it ends up crooked and out of focus, at least we will have it. =)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17621\" title=\"FamYB2011_00001fb\" src=\"https:\/\/cmsmithportraits.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/FamYB2011_00001fb.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"522\" \/>This past week we trekked down to Jacksonville for what was supposed to be a day trip to visit with Collin&#8217;s parents and grandfather.  What we didn&#8217;t count on was that it would take us SIX AND A HALF HOURS to get to Jacksonville.  Traffic was insane.  We ended up spending the night in Savannah.  I&#8217;m so glad we went, though.  We love this man SO much.  Almost 97 years old.  He&#8217;s pretty amazing.  The kids were showing him pictures on my iPhone and someone asked him if his phone looked like that.  His response?  &#8220;Sometimes after my third martini.&#8221;  HA!
