Very early this morning, at 5:13am, a beautiful baby girl was born to our dear friends, Steve and Rebecca! After a LONG labor (nearly 36 hours!), Leah Mae made her entrance into this world, weighing in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 inches in length. We had the pleasure of meeting this sweet baby girl this afternoon. Mom and Dad are great. Exhausted, but in awe of and in love with this new life. And Leah is completely perfect! So beautiful, has a gorgeous head FULL of hair, and, so far, is proving herself to be a great sleeper! Let’s hope she continues with that tonight so that her poor parents can get some rest. Please, everyone, pray for SLEEP for all of them so they can enjoy these first few days as a family of three.
Thank you, Steve and Rebecca, for sharing your girl with us this afternoon. She is PERFECT! There is NOTHING like getting to know your first-born in these early days. Treasure each and every exhausting moment with her.
Welcome to the world, Little Leah. What a special blessing you are. We love you and are praying for the woman that you will grow up to be. We are so excited to watch you as you grow!
The pictures leave me speechless—they are simply amazing. Leah is absolutely beautiful and Steve and Rebecca look so adorably in love! Thank you for sharing that with us.
Congratulations to Steve and Rebecca! Leah is absolutely beautiful! Amazing pictures, as always!
Thank you soooo much for giving us (Steve’s sister and family in Canada) the opportunity to share in some of these precious moments! It is so hard not to be there in person, but I couldn’t have asked for more in comprimise. We only have 4 days left to wait before we make our way south to meet this precious and most perfect child.
Love the Birch Family
Beautiful pictures of an astounding subject! Seeing as we are 1000 miles away this helps a lot. We expect to arrive late on December 27 along with most of the Birch family mentioned above. This gives us a foretaste of what to expect. She really is beautiful. Thank you for posting them.
We are very proud of her parents and join you in asking God to keep his hand on them all. He continues to do wondrous works.
Wow Collin. Argueably your best work ever, but then again I am a little bias. My sister Joanne and I both cried when it came to the picture of her feet. I can’t tell you how much this means especially with my family being in Toronto.
Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful photos of Leah. We have been so excited to hear the news, the pictures are an added bonus!
Leah is so beautiful! Congratulations Steve and Rebecca. A wonderful Christmas gift indeed!
Congratulations! Leah looks like an angel 🙂 I’d love to come meet her in person when we’re in town (Jan 1-7). Enjoy your first few days together!!
What a beautiful baby! I can’t wait to see her in person!
Steve and Rebecca,
We are so glad to join with you in the joyful celebration and thankfulness at the arrival of God’s wonderful gift, Leah! It’s a blessing to be involved through these lovely photos and video. Thanks for thinking of all of us!
Leah is beautiful and even though you could not be
at the Dukes Annual Family Reunion today in person, we all marveled at our newest cousin via this website. Give her kisses from all of us and congratulations on your best Christmas present !
Hello Steve and Rebecca
Thank you to your friend for providing those pictures especially for us “far away”.
So that we may relish this moment with you.
hugs and many loves

Congratulations to Steve & Rebecca! What fabulous photographs of a beautiful baby girl. Leah is indeed a precious, perfect gift from heaven. Enjoy every moment for they will fly by (we realize it’s hard to believe that now!) May the Lord bless you all and keep you in His care.
Thanks Alan for forwarding the link to these photographs. We know that you & Joan are going to enjoy this little one and love her to pieces.
Grandchildren are such a blessing!
