Walkin’ Right Down the middle of Main Street, USA

Okay, I know. Cheesy title. But all of you Disney lovers know the tune I’m talking about, right? If I could pick my all-time dream destination for an A&C Life session, this would be it. The Magic Kingdom. But even better than that, a CUTE two and six year old at the Magic Kingdom. LOVE!!! Let me start at the beginning. A couple of months ago Collin got an email asking if we would possibly be going to Disney in September. It was from a momma all the way out in Texas and she was curious about having a portrait session done. Well, as you now know, we were in fact planning on being at Disney in September. Only they would be arriving on the day we were scheduled to leave. We were left with a choice: leave Disney on Monday as planned or extend the trip by two days and photograph our favorite Texas family at The Happiest Place on Earth. Yeah, it was a real tough decision. So we got the portrait session with Collin set up, and then Nancy (the TX Mom) asked if I would be interested in an A&C Life session at The Magic Kingdom on the morning that they were entering the park for the first time. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Um, yeah, I could go for that.

Y’all. It was SO much fun! I met them at their resort and we hopped on a monorail to catch the opening show. The kids had a crazy mixture of excitement and nervousness going on. These are the faces that greeted me:

Told you they were cute! Before we knew it, we were off the monorail, through the bag check and waiting on that train full of characters!

We had fun waiting and heard “When will the train be here?” almost as many Times as Collin and I heard “When will we get there” on the drive from Florence to Orlando. Kids. They know no patience. 😉

Red polka-dot Minnie ruffle pants? LOVE.

Before we knew it the train was here! I LOVED watching their expressions!

SWEETNESS. Sibling hand-holding is on the top ten list of why parents go to Walt Disney World.

Before we knew it we were through the tunnel and the castle was in our line of sight. The Crane. GRRRRRRR. I’m tempted to dig through the bazillion Disney photos on our hard drive and find a crane-less photo.

They were in awe. Which is what I love about Disney.

Not quite sure where to go…

DUMBO!!! Stratton was super excited to be waiting in line for his first ride…

Dylan was taking it all in.

The golden ticket…err, plastic card of Dumbo. The rite of passage of every kid who rides Dumbo at Disney. I’m not gonna say who let said card sail out of their hands and into the bushes just beyond the rails. 😉

This next photo makes me laugh! See, Dylan? She’s a rules girl. And the rules were “Find your Dumbo, get in, buckle and place your card on Dumbo’s ear.” She did NOT appreciate my desire for a photo op before I got into my Dumbo. it makes me laugh!

Not 5 seconds after our Dumbo took flight, the ride stopped and we slowly came back to the ground. It seemed that the smallest riders should be on the inside. Oops. =)

Next up, the carousel!! Dylan was so happy!

Stratton, on the other hand, was quite certain that his cute little toosh would not be touching that saddle.

Ummm, yeah. Cute, curly blond-headed boy dragging his Mickey through Fantasy Land? Melt my heart.

SASSY thing!! LOVE her!!!

We took in a street performance…

And then did a little Main Street shopping. Stratton found a hat that he couldn’t live without…

And Dylan found one that she could definitely leave on the shelf.

That’s okay, she found a lot of other merchandise to catch her eye!

Our last ride of the morning was Jungle Cruise! Love this one!

I had such an amazing morning with them! Those two kids are so much FUN and I hate that they live a million miles away in Texas! We met back up that afternoon for their session with Collin and they rocked that one as well. Dylan and Stratton, thanks for letting me hang out with you at the Magic Kingdom! Love y’all!!
