Collin and I celebrated Valentine’s a few days earlier this year because we had a class at church on Thursday night. So, as Collin mentioned in a previous post, the actual Valentine’s Day was pretty much all about the kids for us this year. Here’s what we did…
Mak went off to school like any other day. When he woke up, I told him that since it was Valentine’s Day, the rules were that he HAD to give me kisses whenever I wanted one. He protested a little, but didn’t want to be a “rule-breaker,” so he fell for it! I had a day FULL of kisses from my Sweet boy! But very little pictures. He was completely anti-camera. 🙁
Clara Beth in the tu-tu that I made her. My second ever sewing project! A prissy-poof look without the $60 price tag…I could get used to this!

Off to Mak’s school for his party. I have NEVER seen so much candy! When we arrived, my boy was making me the sweetest Valentine’s card. Baby CB had fun “helping”.
Gettin’ a jump-start on her Montessorri education
Clara Beth LOVES Mak’s teacher, and thinks she’s supposed to get a “prize” (sticker) whenever we see her. And she always does! Thanks, Ms. M, for loving both of my babies so much!
Showing off his super-fly dance moves
And loving his teacher bye-bye
They TOTALLY have our hearts!
Next it was off to Tomlinson’s to see Boom-Boom and Uncle Andrew. They went RUNNING to Andrew as soon as they saw him!
Boom-Boom gave them hugs and more sugar…just what they needed
We went to the Studio then so Daddy could get some pics of my babies together, and I LOVE what he got! Then it was time for lunch at Chick-fil-A. Clara Beth was THRILLED to see “My Ehn” (this is what she calls Aunt Erin).
Hugs for Li-li
From here I took the kids home for a much needed nap for all of us. CB went down no problem, and Mak and I laid down in my bed. He kept talking and talking. At one point, he told me he wanted to marry me (awww) and I told him that I was already married to Daddy, but that Jesus would find him the perfect girl to marry when he was old enough. He thought about that for a few minutes, and then said “I want to marry 10 girls.” I assured him that he most certainly did NOT want to marry 10 girls, that would be WAY too much trouble. His response? He said he needed to marry 10 girls because he wanted to be able to fill one of the big tables at The Drive-in. HUH?!?! Then, just before he fell asleep, he rolled over and kissed me on the cheek and said “Happy Thanksgiving”. I ADORE that boy!
After naps, we joined Tallon, Rebcca, and Erin at Li-Li’s for another much needed dose of sugar. Tal welcomed us.
Mom bought them those huge cupcakes that are about 80% icing from Freemans. Yummm…
A sticky sweet kiss for her Li-Li!
