Oh My Goodness, this wedding was Incredible! It was one of those days that I could relive a hundred times and enjoy it each time. Ansley and Mitchell have been in love for years, and it was an incredible blessing to watch them become husband and wife this. Let me tell you, this is one LOVED couple. Everywhere I went I had a new person coming up to me telling me a story about their past and how no two people are more perfect for one another. And it was so true! Mitchell was SO excited and so ready to see his bride walk down the aisle. In fact, all day long they had to keep him from trying to sneak a peek! And after it was all over and we were at the reception, Ansley clung to his hand all night long as they greeted their guests. I think these two are going to be pretty great at this marriage thing. The setting was spectacular…we started in an old inlet home with giant screened porches, hammocks hanging from ancient oak trees in the yard, and the most amazing views I’ve ever seen. When I say it was an older home, I mean it. Fabulous bead-board walls and ceilings, creaky wood floors, peeling paint, rusty old doorknobs. It was my dream home. And the perfect spot for Ansley and her girls to get ready for the big day. What bride wouldn’t love having her hair and make up done on a GIANT screened porch overlooking the inlet? From there we walked two doors down to what I consider one of the most beautiful churches in the world, Belin Methodist. Again, gorgeous views of the South Carolina inlet. More ancient oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The ceremony was so beautiful and sweet, and soon we were following the couple in their old K5 Blazer on the way to our final destination, the reception at Kimbels at Wachesaw Plantation. And there again I saw some of the most amazing views I’ve ever seen. Are you noticing a trend here? I’m a pretty big fan of coastal South Carolina. This time we had views of boats going on sunset cruises down the Waccamaw River. Ansley and Mitchell danced and celebrated their marriage with their closest friends and family…and mostly just enjoyed their first few hours as husband and wife. Ansley and Mitchell, Collin and I are so happy for you! It was an honor to be a part of your wedding day!
