Coach Granger gathered the kids together today to start the 2007 T-Ball season. Makgill has been talking about this since Christmas when he got his T-ball glove. We bought him the smallest baseball pants we could find, they should fit by the time he is 5. Going into an adventure like this, you may think that it is going to be complete chaos, but it wasn’t. Makgill and Parson know each other very well, so they took off around the bases together. They were soon joined by some others. Taking their lead, Coach Granger started a base running drill. This was entertaining. These kids did a fantastic job. I didn’t expect them to follow directions very well, but they did what they were supposed to do. We didn’t need to chase anyone across the field or the parking lot. Everyone stayed right there and ready to learn.
As we were leaving, Makgill told us “I am good at T-ball because it makes me so happy!” This was the best thing that we could have heard!
