More on Halloween

This Halloween was SOOO much Fun!! Mak said this morning that it was his “Best Halloween ever” and I have to agree. Both kids were REALLY into choosing their costumes. More than they ever have been in the past. And Go figure…we spent less on costumes this year than we ever have, too! Mak was the most wishy-washy about what he wanted to be. He started off wanting to be a soccer player. Well that was easy enough since he IS a soccer player ever Saturday. But that was short-lived and he changed to wanting to be a robot. I have to admit I was dreading this one a bit. Entirely because it required a lot of creative effort out of ME. And I am NOT creative when it comes to stuff like that. But then one day we were in the grocery store of all places and he saw a Spiderman costume. And he Fell. In. Love. This was IT. THE costume that he had been dreaming about for five years and he NEEDED it. And it was only $12. He, of course, got it. Mak and Momma were both happy. 🙂

Miss CB has known for many, many months that she wanted to be her all time FAVORITE book character, Pinkalicious. I’m sure you know the story if you have a little girl. For those of you who don’t, here’s a brief synopsis. A little girl eats too many pink cupcakes and gets a rare case of Pinkititis. She turns pink from her head to her toes. This would be Clara Beth’s dream come true, and we read this book no less than 300 times a day. And since pink is her favorite color we only had to go as far as her closet and the dress-up bin in the playroom to find her costume. Oh yeah, and to Target for a can of pink hairspray. She LOVED her costume. She thought she had never been prettier. 🙂

Halloween festivities began for us last Monday evening with pumpkin carving and chili with friends. I LOVE this time of year!!!

Mak always gets grossed out by the pumpkin guts. When he was a toddler he threw up when he touched them. No throwing up this year! 🙂

Apparently Julie gets grossed out, too!

Miss CB and daddy carved a pumpkin together. Yes, she has a black eye. She got it while throwing a fit and she knocked herself right into the bed. We didn’t really feel too bad for her considering the tantrum she was throwing. Stinker.

Mak carved his own pumpkin this year! All by himself. Montessorri kid. 😉

Mak finished his pumpkin and wanted his picture with it. Every time I tried to take it, Tal would jump in front of the camera. It made Mak so mad which made Tal do it even more. Love that cousin love! 😉

Finally! We got the picture! A few things that I want to note about Mak’s first ever pumpkin. Their smiles match. Crazy, isn’t it? Also, he chose to carve the dirty side of the pumpkin so that the pumpkin’s face was messy. Gosh, I LOVE that boy!!!

I think Reeves wanted to throw the pumpkin in the woods. I love that he looks like he’s planning the pumpkin’s demise in this one. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure their pumpkin still looks like this. 😉

Pretty, pretty, pretty but oh so TIRED Tess.

And, of course…feet. You know I love ’em. Here are Miss CB’s feet with the pumkin she carved with her Daddy. Oh, and for the record she wanted Collin to be Purplicious this year. I love that!

And then the actual day…HALLOWEEN!!! We went over to the Granger’s for a FANTASTIC Halloween party! Brandon has been working on his Haunted Trail for weeks now and it was such a hit. Thanks for a great night, y’all!

Here are a few of Parson the Policeman, Lilah Little Bo Peep, and her sheep, Sawyer. These were done the night before the party. Love those kids!

Time for trick or treating! Brandon took us all on a fun hayride around the neighborhood to hit some houses up for CANDY!!! The kids LOVED it!
