Okay, it really didn’t start with Hannah. But she was one of our first studio babies. She was such an early client that her first session was done in my parents’ living room, sofa shoved to the side and background propped up in the corner. She was a beautiful, bald-headed little three month old baby girl. And she’s also pretty much BRILLIANT. I remember at her 18 month session, y’all, I know you aren’t going to believe me but NO LIE…this child was READING! I’m completely serious. Her dad, Darrell, brought her to the session and he kept her attention while Collin photographed by writing words on a little magna-doodle. Hannah would read every single word he wrote. Crazy. We’ve watched her grow up over the past ten years that we have been in business. Hannah is a beautiful girl, inside and out. She’s funny, bubbly, kind and gorgeous. Hannah had a baby brother a few years after we began photographing him. Ben. Oh my Gracious, this kid is AWESOME. He’s hilarious, has never met a stranger, and is absolutely going to be in a band one day. The kid peed in his birthday cake at his one year session…if that doesn’t say AWESOME then I don’t know what does. We have watched this family grow up and have grown up ourselves as a studio right alongside them. Kris and Darrell have become friends of ours and we value the relationships we have created with each member of this family. God has blessed us abundantly in the people we have met through this business. And, really, that’s what photography is all about. Relationships. Documenting the ones that you love. Holding on to a moment in time forever in a portrait. I have no doubt that Collin and I will be boo-hooing when Miss Hannah walks down the aisle (in 30 years). Darrell and Kris, thank you for trusting us to help you hold on to your family’s memories for the past ten years! It is an honor!
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Happy 10 year anniversary Collin M. Smith Portrait Photography! And yes, I hope it’s at least 30 years before we need you to photograph her wedding 🙂
