Today Collin celebrated his thirty-first birthday. We had so much fun just spending the day together as a family. The Lord has blessed me with such an amazing husband and father to our children! We woke up this morning to Makgill jumping in bed with us shouting “Happy Birthday, Daddy!” and Clara Beth shouting happily from her crib (I’m sure she was also saying Happy Birthday). Collin then opened his gifts as Mak told him what they were (before he opened them). We headed to Cracker Barrel for a birthday breakfast, and then to Grant’s house for a super first birthday party (more on that later). We spent some time hanging out together at home, then ran some errands. The big birthday supper was at Starfire with our best friends, The Grangers. All in all it was a pretty normal day, made very special because thirty-one years ago the man of my dreams was born. I love you more than you can imagine, Baby! Happy Birthday!!!
Makgill and Clara Beth giving Daddy his gifts- notice Mak’s pjs. He dressed himself. Can you tell?

Now back to Grant and his super-fun first birthday party.
Grant’s parents, Gus and Erin are in our Bible study, and the whole family is just great. Grant has been coming to the studio his whole life, and it has been so much fun watching him grow up. Now he’s a big one year old having a choo-choo train party! And what a party it was! Erin did an amazing job decorating the backyard and carrying out the train theme. Grant loved his cake, and everyone had a wonderful time. Thanks for letting us join in the fun! Click here to see Grant’s slideshow:
