Soooo Sorry for the lack of blog posts this week. No excuses, really, other than the typical busy stuff. I’ve been getting us packed up to go camping in the upstate for a few days (YAY!) and also getting our school stuff together. As of this week I’ve totally switched up what I was planning to do with Miss CB this year and I’m super excited about it. But those things are different blog posts for different times. Right now I want to tell you about the newest thing we are doing that has gotten a lot of people asking “Huh?!?” Here’s the explanation of Gallery 2 in a nutshell. We’ve been busy this year. We’ve had more weddings than we’ve had in many years, as well as regular portrait sessions to keep up with. Things have gotten kind of stressful and it sort of feels like it’s “ALL work ALL of the time”. Good thing we love what we do. 😉 And while we are certainly NOT complaining about being busy (Believe me, we are SOOOO appreciative and thankful!), it has started to take a toll on us personally. Also, I can’t tell you how many times a week I hear “I am dying for y’all to photograph my kids but…my husband is out of work…money’s tight…it’s not in the budget.” UGH. That hurts my heart. I am a momma, too, and I know that more than anything you want portraits of your babies because you want to remember these years forever. No, we can’t keep them little, but there is nothing that can melt a momma’s heart faster than a photo of her baby in a stage that she remembers as being one of her favorites. Collin and I do understand that times are tough. That’s why we have come up with Gallery 2. A NEW studio. Fun, Fresh and {Financially Friendly}. The photos will be taken by an associate of our studio, Christina. We have worked with her for years and we are so excited about what she will bring to this studio. For now, Gallery 2 will be a “Limited Edition” styled studio (but we will also still do LEs here). Our first event will be on August 20th (only 10 appointments available!) and it is called Tutus and Ties…LOVE it!!! This one will work for a WIDE age range. I’d say as long as your baby is laying on belly/pushing up on hands then they are ready! I loved it with toddlers and big kids, too!
