We spent the weekend at Rebecca’s parents house at Santee with Reeves, Rebecca, and Tallon, and Jeremy, Courtney, and Olivia. We had a great time! Both of these families are great, and we had so much fun getting to know the Emerts! Little Olivia is the funniest, sweetest kid, and Courtney and Jeremy are HILARIOUS! The weekend was full of boat riding, chasing kids, playing games, eating, laughing, skiing, tubing, and telling funny stories. No computers, cell phones, or TV(except for Makgill’s afternoon movie/nap). It was great! Thank-you, Rebecca’s Mom and Dad, for letting us use the house!
All of the kids had a great time playing in the kiddie pool. Sometimes they played together and sometimes they did their own thing. There was plenty of splashing, “forced” sharing, and watching for boats. We had so much fun watching them.
Mak LOVED hanging out in the hammocks.
Tallon was so funny with the boat. If Reeves even came close to attempting to take the boat out without him, poor Tal would have a meltdown. I mean this kid would seriously get his little feelings crushed. On the boat he simply sat in one spot, enjoying going fast. He slept some, “drove” the boat some, but mostly just sat. He is so sweet! I love my nephew!
Clara Beth sat in Reeves’ lap for the longest period ever. I loved it that she sat with someone other than Mommy or Daddy.
Isn’t Olivia so pretty!?! And she also has a darling personality. She is quite a talker- more than any 18 month old I have ever met. She kept saying “Baby- wah, wah” when she saw Clara Beth. She called Makgill “Gill”, Tallon “Tan”, and Clara Beth “Baby CB”.
Clara Beth had so much fun hanging out with Daddy on the hammock. She kept giving him kisses then laying her head on his chest or putting her fingers in his mouth. They are so precious together. I adore watching my baby girl with her daddy.
Collin stepped on a pinecone while pulling Mak around the yard in the wagon. Mak was so concerned about his Daddy. He gingerly placed Collin’s foot on the side of the pool and poured water on it to make it feel better. It was so sweet to see how much he cared!
All of the adults played “Battle of the Sexes” after the babes went to bed on Saturday night. We laughed til we cried. It was great, and I’m very proud to say that the Ladies won!
Miss CB had us up at 6 on Sunday morning. Sweet Girl. The lake was really pretty that early, though.
Mak made muffins with Aunt Rebecca
Clara Beth went on her first boat ride. All she wanted to do was rest her head on her big cousin, but Tal was NOT into that! I think she really cramped his style on the boat. She loved going over the wake when it was bumpy. She would dance every time!
SPLINTERS- a comon thread throughout the weekend! Mak had 1, Jeremy had 2, and Tal had 1. The tweezers stayed out!
Sweet Olivia gave Baby CB one of her famous kisses goodbye!
Okay all of you Playhouse Disney fans- you know “Go, Baby”? Well- We have found the narrator! Jeremy sounds exactly like the guy. Check out the video. He’ll be the hit of every preschool birthday party!
There are a ton more pictures from the weekend on the slideshow!
All your pictures truly captured the spirit of the weekend…Jeremy and I seriously can’t stop talking about how much fun we had. Thanks for sharing your family with ours for the weekend.
