A few years ago Collin and I went on the most glorious, fabulous, WONDERFUL vacation. Just the two of us. And while we were there we did something that we’d never done since our wedding. We hired a professional photographer and had a session of just the two of us. Y’all. Those photos from that week…I can’t even put into words how much they mean to me. Actually, I guess a session like that is kind of the same as a vacation like that. Obviously you LOVE vacationing with your kids, right? Creating those special memories as a family, experiencing new things and places together…but every now and then it’s really fun to leave those precious babies behind with grandma and grandpa and head off ALONE. I see photography in the same way. Nothing will ever compare to our family photos or photos of Makgill and Clara Beth that Collin has created for us over the years. Most of the time there’s nothing more special to me than a really great portrait of the four of us together. But some of the time? I REALLY enjoy leaving those sweet little sugars behind and doing a session of the two of us without them. Because it all started with just the two of us, and after nearly seventeen years of marriage I value our love and our commitment to God, each other, and our children even more than I ever could have when this all started on our wedding day. Absolutely I loved Collin Smith with all of my heart when we exchanged our vows in May of 2000. But y’all, my 21 year old self had NO IDEA of how incredibly raw and deep that love would grow over the next decade and a half. I thought I knew, you know? But I had no idea. Marriage is a such a gift and it should be celebrated.
Anyway, I say all of that to lead into our next Limited Edition, Show Me Some Love! Usually Collin and I beg you to bring your little cuties to see us for a session. Not this time! This time we {politely and lovingly} ask that you leave the little lovelies at home and come for a session that celebrates your marriage! Trust me , you will be so thankful to have these photos!
Sessions will be held by appointment only on Saturday, February 4th. Sessions are $45 and receive Limited Edition pricing on portraits.
