I had the best time this weekend! Early Saturday morning I spent an hour in the country with these three little ones and their parents. Well, not too early. Let’s not get crazy. More like, after a reasonable amount of coffee was consumed I spent an hour with them in the country. And it was perfect. I love lifestyle photography, and sessions like this one are why. Sure, it’s a little awkward for the first ten minutes or so, but pretty soon everyone forgets about the camera and just goes on doing their thing. And that’s when the good stuff happens. This is the third time that I have been out to the country for a lifestyle session with this family. It’s a tradition that Haley does with each of her babies when they are 18{ish} months old. And just as I typed that I realized that this is the last baby in this family. WHAT?! Every other time I’ve been out there for the 18 month session there has either been a sibling on the way or a brand new baby already here. What are we going to do? Haley and Josh, y’all either need to get busy planning #4 or we need to come up with a new lifestyle session tradition. Because this can’t be my last one out there. I enjoy it way too much. I’ve mentioned here on the blog before that this place is so special to this family. Spend any length of time here yourself and you’ll see why. It’s incredible. The giant, wide open fields, the winding, tree-lined paths…it’s not Florence. At least it doesn’t feel that way. We spent our time counting creatures that we found, looking inside crevices of the tree that their parents were married under {Sweet!}, living out make-believe story lines that Rutledge created in his head, and rolling and wrestling in piles of leaves. Well, the kids rolled and wrestled. Josh, Haley, and I refrained. It was a morning of exploring this corner of the world that was created for them by their Heavenly Father, and it was wonderful! Haley, thank you for wanting this time with your family documented! It was my pleasure to be there with y’all!
