Have y’all heard of Orlando Hudson’s C.A.T.C.H. Foundation (Curing Autism Through Change and Hope)? It’s this really great foundation created by Orlando and Keisa Hudson that promotes “enabling children with autism to enjoy a normal life through the funding of outlets for proper therapy, education, and extracurricular activities.” The C.A.T.C.H. Foundation charity weekend is this coming weekend, January 17-19. We have participated in this event for the past few years, and y’all, I can’t possibly express to you how much FUN it is!! They have an adult prom on Friday night, a Strike Out Autism bowling fundraiser on Saturday, and a Crossover Charity basketball game on Sunday. Orlando is hands down one of the funniest guys I know, and our family looks forward to this weekend every year. He and Keisa do such a great job of making everyone feel at home, and it’s so clear that their hearts are really in this. The personal stories that they have shared with Collin and me about how autism has touched them are beautiful. The Pee Dee is blessed to have this organization!
And because I hate a post without pictures and also because Orlando and Keisa have some of the most beautiful children on the planet, here’s their latest session. It’s hard to believe that they are already this grown. We started photographing them when the baby was a newborn…we were terrified that she would tee-tee in his golden glove! HA! Time flies when you’re having fun. =)
