You know what I imagine must be super hard right now? Well, a lot of things, right? But I think having a newborn now would be really really difficult. You’ve waited nine long months to be able to meet this sweet baby and share that baby with your family and friends. You want that baby to feel the love of so many who have anxiously prayed for its safety and prepared for this new life by showering the new parents with gifts…and you can’t do any of that. This morning on our walk I commented to Collin how thankful I am that our niece Sadie wasn’t born during this quarantine. It would have killed me not to see that sweet girl in the hospital or to miss out on those precious newborn snuggles! When our Mak was born we went home from the hospital and that evening Florence received a major ice storm. And as we all know, Florence completely shuts down when there’s an ice storm. So that meant I had no visitors and four whole days at home with only my husband and brand new baby boy. That was such a gift! That limited amount of time when it was just the three of us was so precious! But after it was over I was so excited to share this most amazing little guy with my family and friends. This quarantine is offering new families a lot of time to bond with one another, but I’d imagine that as the weeks drag on and on new parents are getting a little weary of all of this alone time.
Safety is and always has been our number one priority in regards to newborn photography. Beginning in May, we will be ready to get back into the studio with these little ones based on when YOU, the parent, are ready. Extra safety and sanitation precautions will be taken and sessions will be spaced out more than normal. All of this will be discussed with you via email before your session is set up. We offer a Newborn mini session here at the studio that lasts only an hour and your allows baby to stay wrapped the entire time. It’s a perfect way to document your little one! This session is $65, and you purchase the portraits you want after you view your session. For quarantine newborns, we would like to still offer this session at $65, however we are going to include one small printable digital image in that $65 price! You will still receive the full newborn session and have the ability to purchase more portraits, but one image will be included in the session fee price.
