A few months ago we were blessed to be able to witness this Daddy and this baby girl meeting one another for the first time. Jesse was away at war when sweet Harper was born, and we were honored to be there to photograph when he came home to America, just days before Christmas. It was one of those life changing experiences for me. I mean, I knew the sacrifices that these soldiers and their families make in order to protect the freedom of our nation…but I didn’t really get it, you know? Being there on that day, witnessing swarms of families greeting faces that they love more than anything but hadn’t seen in over a year…it was humbling. That experience made their sacrifices more real to me and for that I am grateful. I’m pretty sure that none of the photos I took were in focus due to the shaking of my hands and tears that I couldn’t stop. Good thing Collin was there! It was just absolutely BEAUTIFUL to see so many families reunited. The photos were all posted on Facebook, but here are a few favorites!
A few weeks ago we finally got Harper and Jesse into the studio! I have to say, I’m gonna like this guy. He’s hilarious! We already knew that about his wife, Deanna. We got to know her this summer and knew she was just plain fun to be around. It was great to see them together! Jesse, again, Welcome Home! We’re so glad that y’all are settling in nicely as a family of three!
