Y’all, this session was absolutely hilarious. Addie Kate’s mom referred to it as Operation Surprise Adoption. You see, recently this sweet baby has developed an aversion to strangers. This otherwise supremely happy kid turns into a terrified cranky mess when she is around people she doesn’t see very often. Shannon knew that the birthday session wouldn’t happen if she brought Addie Kate to the studio, but she also suspected that Addie would be fine if she didn’t know what was going on and Mom wasn’t there to fuss to. So on the day of the session, the sitter drove Addie Kate to the studio, Clara Beth and I scooped her out of her carseat and rushed her into the studio and presented her with a pile of toys before she knew what hit her. And she was her normal HAPPY, sweet little self! It worked beautifully and her momma is a genius! Addie, Kate, we love you, sweet girl! Happy Birthday!
