Disney days 4, 5, and 6.

Day 4

Today is Linda’s Birthday!! She has a special button to wear so that all of the cast members can tell her happy birthday. Aron and Makgill surprised her by going to get it very early this morning.

We had to go to MGM this morning to get into the park, (great idea to see if you know ANYONE that works at the parks. It saves a ton of $). Once we got in, we were free to go anywhere we wanted. Today our goal is to introduce Makgill to the BIG ONE…Magic Kingdom.

This is the place to go with kids! Aron and I quickly agreed that we wouldn’t care if we didn’t get to ride anything for ourselves. Going with Makgill through the Small World ride and the others in that area and seeing his reaction is all we need. His excitement is all we need!

We started on Dumbo. Once he realized that he controlled up and down, it became a whole new ride!pa170015_resize.JPG

From there, he saw the “horses” so we went for a ride on the carousel. pa170021_resize.JPGHe kept saying”up..and down…up…and down…” it was great.

We went through It’s a Small World…pa170028_resize.JPG pa170033_resize.JPG

Peter Pan…pa170037_resize.JPG

Winnie the Pooh…and the Haunted Mansion…He loved it all.

Then it was time to head to Epcot where we had lunch reservations for Linda’s birthday. It is a character lunch in The Land. It started off with the chef coming out to tell us he selected our group for a special treat. Because of her button, we started getting lots of extra attention from the Cast Members. He created some unique and personal appetisers for us, and a special “bug” roll for Makgill.pa170085_resize.JPG

Makgill got his first up close with the characters, and he finally believed us that we were actually where Mickey Mouse lives. He had a great time with the characters. Clara Beth made some friends, too. She smiled some of her biggest smiles with the characters. Dale tickled her with his paws. She LOVED Pluto’s whiskers. (I think Pluto was her favorite)pa170072_resize.JPG And she squeezed Mickey’s nose. pa170080_resize.JPGThe characters were great!

Pluto…pa170067_resize.JPG pa170076_resize.JPG

…and of course, Mickey Mouse.pa170095_resize.JPG pa170096_resize.JPG

Of course, it was Linda’s birthday, so she got some attention, too. pa170082_resize.JPG pa170102_resize.JPG pa170104_resize.JPG pa170105_resize.JPG

And Makgill got another special desert. He was able to decorate his own cupcake! pa170110_resize.JPG

Nap Time.pa170115_resize.JPG pa170116_resize.JPG

Back to the park. We went back to Epcotpa170138_resize.JPG to meet up with Fred and Linda. We “baby swapped” and rode Test Track. Man I love that ride. Aron and I cannot wait until Mak can ride it. But, while Fred and Linda rode it, we brought Makgill in to the car area and he had a blast. pa170124_resize.JPGI don’t think he is quite ready for the road yet, though.

We ended the day at Illuminations. Makgill has a love hate relationship with fireworks. They scare him, but he wants to see them. He toughed it out and had a great time watching them.

Day 5

We started the day in Animal Kingdom. pa180029_resize.JPGThere wasn’t a lot that we thought we wanted to do here, so we planned on half a day. We started with the new roller coaster, something to do with the Himmelea’s. Linda watched the kids while Fed, Aron, and I rode. It is one of the best coasters that we have ridden. Definitely worth the trip into Animal Kingdom. From there, we did the river rapids. Here, we did the baby swap again. Aron and I went first, then Fred and Linda. With those rides sone, we started feeling a little guilty about Makgill not riding anything yet, so we wnt an the safari ride. He was getting a little tired, but he said he loved it. He got REALLY excited when he saw the zebras and giraffes.

The morning run is now over, back to the hotel for lunch and a nap.

pa180036_resize.JPGThis afternoon…back to Magic Kingdom!pa180058_resize.JPG pa180040_resize.JPGWe started off with trying on hats… pa180045_resize.JPG pa180046_resize.JPG pa180048_resize.JPG pa180049_resize.JPG pa180051_resize.JPG

and Linda bought the kids mouse ears. pa180053_resize.JPG pa180054_resize.JPG She had them personalized with their names, and the girl did the names by hand on the sewing machine!!! She didn’t have a computer sew them, she did it ALL BY HAND!!! pa180050_resize.JPGHonestly, this amazed me, because it looks perfect!

Makgill drove me around in the fast cars…pa180060_resize.JPGIf you look closely, you can see his head behind the steering wheel.

Then rode the tea cups with Aron and Fred…pa180067_resize.JPG

Then it was time for Makgill’s first roller coaster…Goofy’s Barnstormer! pa180086_resize.JPGOnce again, HE LOVED IT.

After riding the train around the park, we went to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The longest wait that we have had to date…about 30 minutes. Makgill rode in front of us with Fred and Linda. Of course, he loved it, too. We were all getting a little hungry now, and decided we would look for some food, but the parade was starting and everything was on the other side of the street from where we were, so we watched the parade and went back to the hotel to eat.pa180100_resize.JPG

Day 6

Chef Mickey had a big breakfast ready for us this morning. Makgill and Clara Beth had their new ears on pa190102_resize.JPGready to see Mickey pa190116_resize.JPG pa190112_resize.JPGand his friends.pa190108_resize.JPG

Makgill made quite an impression on Minnnie…pa190117_resize.JPGwatch out Mickey!

Dale came over and had some fun with Clara Beth. pa190110_resize.JPGIt was actually a little strange the way he worked his way past Aron to play with her. Oh well, he is just a chipmunk!

pa190118_resize.JPG pa190135_resize.JPG

Today is our off day, so after naps, we will be spending the rest of our day at the pool and around the hotel.pa190133_resize.JPG
