Now this is eternal life that they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. John 13:3
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! Collin’s parents have left, the playroom has been newly organized, most toys have been put away and the necessary returns have been made. It was a GREAT Christmas. I absolutely LOVED having Byron and Mary here to celebrate with us. There were so many fun things that the kids were able to experience with them…I’m so thankful for this time!
We went over to my parents’ house for supper before the Christmas Eve service the way we always do. Thankfully, this year everybody’s teeth remained where they should and there were no Emergency Room visits. Thank you, Lord. There were a bunch of crazy excited, hyped up on candy canes cousins who ran all over the house and did NOT want their picture taken. Little Stinkers.
My Sugarplums. Love ’em. Mak has that fake “hurry up and take the picture so I can be done with this” smile going on. CB’s genuinely laughing at someone in the corner…not sure who.
And, the big girls (Lilah Drew was eating). CB looking dazed, baby girls laughing at their uncle.
The whole bunch. Definitely not a perfect photo, but at least all eyes are open, right?
These two are just hilarious. I love these boys!
We went to the Christmas Eve service at church (Beautiful!) and came home to put out cookies, milk and reindeer food. A sad thing happened last week. At lunch one day, Clara Beth point blank asked me if Santa was real. Collin and I always said we would never lie to them if/when they asked, so I answered her truthfully. Mak was right there and neither of them seemed overly disappointed. I think they already knew. I told them it was still okay to pretend and do fun things like leave cookies for Santa and food for the reindeer. I reminded them that Christmas really isn’t about Santa anyway, and they agreed. They were cool with it, and honestly this year really wasn’t different from any other year.
We tracked Santa on Norad. That really is a cool website, whether you believe in Santa or not. Mak and CB love watching the little video clips from around the world.
This photo just makes me laugh. Sister is so excited that she just SQUEEZES him with all that she has. Love it!
Love them!!! They make life so much fun. =)
Mak and CB bunked together this Christmas Eve. It was out of necessity due to Collin’s parents being here, but I really liked them being together. We wrapped Mak’s bed in lights and it looked super Christmasy. I was kind of jealous that I couldn’t sleep in there. =)
Christmas day was wonderful. The kids were surprised with their gifts and we spent a lot of time just being together. It was lazy and just plain comfortable, you know? It was perfect. =)
This is the face that greeted me at 6:20. A touch psychotic about getting downstairs. I love this kid.
Oh No, Ladies. Step back. He’s all mine.
Birthday cake for Jesus. As always, it wasn’t the prettiest of cakes. I’m glad He doesn’t mind my lack of baking skills. =)
We headed over to my Grandmother’s house to do Christmas with her…
And then back home to end the day with Christmas Dinner and the game of Life. We didn’t do our traditional Chinese Christmas dinner this year…I actually cooked. Okay, so Collin’s mom did the ham, but I did everything else. I felt like a for real adult. 😉
Merry Christmas, Y’all! I hope it was a wonderful day spent with the ones you love!
