We had a great time with the kids in Charleston today. Collin had a session a few weeks ago that was postponed due to rain, and today was the day it was rescheduled for (Beautiful weather today, by the way!). Mak has been talking about wanting to “ride a horse” (carriage ride) since we were there in July, so we thought today would be the perfect day. By the time we finally made it, we had just enough time to do a carriage ride and then make it to the Battery for the session. I was so excited for Mak to do this! He’s really been talking about it several times a week for the last few months. I thought he would love it. Well, he enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as I thought he would. And he had to go tee-tee about half-way through the tour, so we had to jump off! I think the other guests (and the guide) may have been kind of happy to see us go. We had the only kids on the tour, and Clara Beth was LOUD. Not unhappy, just talking a lot. I think we’ll wait a few years before we try that activity again!
Waiting for our ride
He had so much fun guessing which horse would be “ours”
Happy Girl!
Loving my Babes
This is right after we jumped off!
The kids and I hung out at Battery Park while Collin took pictures. Mak climbed all over EVERYTHING! And had a BLAST! We could’ve saved $40 and come here in the first place…
Looking on, wishing she was the one doing the climbing…
He was aiming for the pirates
It was freezing! But he still wanted to play in the water!
Of course, you and Clara Beth look georgeous…but, Collin and Makgill look particularly hansome in this series of pix. First of all, nothing is cuter than a pea coat on a boy (man)! I bought Byron one last winter. I’m sure it’s about 2 sizes to small this season. 😉
E and I always love the carriage rides but haven’t yet gotten up the nerve to try with Claudia. I think we will take your experience to heart and wait a few more years. Glad ya’ll had fun otherwise!!
Remember when one of our Christmas card pics was of you, Reeves and Andrew sitting on that cannon? Time flies!!! All you parents out there enjoy those kiddies b/c they grow up fast. Of course, the fringe benefit of that is the GRANDKIDS 🙂 I KNOW why they call them GRAND!!!!!
