Baby Lilah Drew!

Please forgive the slack blogging this week. It’s okay, I have good reason. This sweet child was born this week: Our Lilah Drew. Actually, my brother and sister-in-law’s Lilah Drew. She is Scrumptious, to borrow a description from my friend, Natalie. We are all so in love. I got a phone call from Andrew at...

    The $6 Disney character Meal

Y’all. I am about to let you in on the absolute BEST deal at Walt Disney World. Seriously, you won’t believe it. And you don’t even need reservations. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Remember back in early May when we went to Disney for 2 days for a portrait session? It was a great...

Summer school{ish} and our end of the school year camping trip

We did it. He did it. Makgill has completed the first grade, homeschool style. I am so unbelievably proud of my little man. He has worked so hard and I am shocked at the amount of work he has done this year. He has hated some of it, and honestly so have I. But most...

Gillian, it was you and Dana talking about camping on facebook that got me interested in the whole idea! We love it so much! So, thank you for planting the idea in my head. 😉 We should do a weekend trip sometime! And, I know! Her hair is crazy. To think she spent the first two and a half years of her life as a baldy!ReplyCancel

Here’s what we do to combat the dirty feet while camping – baby wipes. I can not stand dirty feet in a bed so before bed every night, we wipe feet off with a baby wipe. We love camping, but have sadly outgrown our pop-up.ReplyCancel

Her curls! Oh man, not good for that, “I give up on the thought of a curly haired little girl and will just stop at three straight haired little boys…” resolve.

Have you guys seen this campground?? We never even knew it existed til our last time home. It seems like the perfect campground for kiddos: http://www.pirateland.com/ReplyCancel

Tamara, i didn’t know that y’all camp! We should plan a trip sometime! I’m all about camping with friends. =) And we are doing the baby wipe thing, but it still doesn’t seem to be working. Especially on Mak. That boy’s feet are STANK.

Chrissy, we did a session at Pirateland this weekend! It looked like a really fun place and we definitely want to check it out. Actually, Hope S has a place there and they go all the time. Where is y’alls RV now? Do you ever use it anymore?ReplyCancel

Oh, and I definitely think you should go for the curly-headed girl. Because what’s the worst that could happen? Another straight-haired boy? You know that wouldn’t be so bad!ReplyCancel

We used to camp. Starting last summer, we’ve had to rent places at the campgrounds (we go to Ocean Lakes and Pirateland). Somehow, trying to fit all 7 of us into the little pop-up was just too much. We’ll be going to Ocean Lakes the week of July 4th this year. I can’t wait! Don’t have any other advice besides the baby wipes – Bobby’s feet get really bad, esp if he’s been wearing his rainbows; they stain his feet.ReplyCancel

    This week…

has been a little bit crazy. A good kind of crazy, but still…CRAZY. I’m finding myself saying that a lot lately. A non-nutso week would be quite welcome. However…I love this week every year. LOVE. IT. Good things happen this week. Tomorrow Collin and I will celebrate eleven years of marriage. ELEVEN. That sounds like...

      Little Rutty-Duck in the country!

I can’t believe that the sweet little chunky baby who we curled up in his daddy’s toy truck during his newborn session is now 18 months old!! And has a baby sibling on the way! Remember this? Oh my Gracious, newborn Rutledge was ADORABLE. He had great “squish factor” as my friend Michelle says. Guess...
