Have I mentioned before how much I love facebook? I’m pretty sure I have. It allows me to keep up with our clients in a way that I otherwise would never be able to. This session is an example of what I mean. Collin and I LOVE Mister Brice. We’ve known him since he was an itty-bitty, and he has always been fun. He’s just a funny kid and we always know it will be CRAZY when Brice is due for a visit to the studio. Well, one morning I was sipping coffee and checking in on facebook, and I saw that Brice’s buddy, his first best friend, was sick. Very sick. Brice’s buddy is Riley, the dog that had a place in the family even before Brice did. My heart SUNK. I have never had that very personal relationship with a pet, but I know many who have and I know that pets have a way of taking a spot in a family that no one else can fill. And Riley had definitely filled that spot for Brice and Brice’s mommy, Betsy. I knew that it was important to document this very special relationship before it became impossible to do, so later that week Brice, Betsy and Riley came to the studio for a visit. It was FUN!! Riley had no clue what was going on and we spent much of the morning going back and forth between chasing a confused dog and an over-excited little boy from one end of the studio to the other. But we LOVED it. Just from the little bit of time that Collin and I spent with them that morning, it was very clear that Riley is most definitely a family member. Betsy, thank you for allowing us to document this time. It makes me so happy to know that your memories of Riley will be hanging on your wall forever and ever.
LOVE! (I know the blog will tell me my comment is too short and, thus, I’m adding this parenthetical 🙂 )
Yes, it is crazy with Brice and Riley and I can only imagine how it was in the studio 🙂 LOVE the shots y’all got of all of them!
