Birthday Fun!!
To celebrate Makgill’s third birthday, we had a Blue birthday party last Saturday. Blue is Mak’s favorite color, so we went all out and made everything blue- cake, balloons, cups, plates, cookies, even an inflatable jumper. We had a great time, but most importantly Makgill had a BLAST! Thank-you to all who came. We appreciate you celebrating our boy with us!
On Sunday we continued the blue theme by making blue waffles- a little disgusting-looking but tasty. Clara Beth had a runny nose so we stayed home from church and played with Mak’s new toys. The finger paint that he got from his best pal Parson was fun for both Makgill and me.
In our house we have a tradition of eating birthday cake for breakfast on our birthdays. Makgill enjoyed his cake on Monday, and then we headed off to Discovery Place in Charlotte. We had a great time playing, and returned to Florence at 8:00 with two exhausted kids.
The final Birthday celebration occurred on Wednesday when I took sugar cookies (blue, of course), to Makgill’s class. I had a great time meeting his new classmates, and Makgill enjoyed showing off his pretty sister! All in all Makgill had a great third birthday!
