I’ve been the worst about blogging our family stuff this year. Again, I blame Instagram. But there are a few things that I really want to get on the blog so I don’t forget, and our annual Lakewood trip is one of them. This was way back at the beginning of the summer and we were so happy to have Andrew and Erin camp with us this weekend! It had been forever since we had all camped together. I’m ready to do it again!
As always, camping nights are my favorites. This is the only photo from that first night but I have to put it in here because look how grown this kid is.
At every campground the girls make fairy houses out of sticks and leaves. I think this started back at James Island several years ago. I love that they still do it.
I mean, that’s style right there, y’all.
The Otts (Well, most of them. Missed you, Bryson!) came down for the day. We had a couple of rain free hours that were spent at the water park, but then the rain started up and we crammed everyone under the Airstream awning. It was cozy.
This kid and his love of birds!! It’s incredible! He knows all of the different species and loves bird watching. He wants to be an ornithologist when he grows up. I didn’t even know what that was before Jordan.
HAHA! She’s crazy!
Finally a few hours at the water park! It was freezing!
Then the rain chased us out and we headed back to the Airstreams for lunch and just sitting around chatting. That was my favorite part of the day.
Mak and Raelyn were the only ones old enough to do the paddle boats without an adult.
Campfire time after everyone headed home…
She makes me smile. I’ll take a s’more with a raw marshmallow, thank you very much. Cutie.
Spying on two sweet girls working on their early morning dance routine outside of my camper window.
Beach Day! It was dreary and very windy, but fun!
See the rainbow?
That smile. Melts this momma.
Beach Party nights at Lakewood are so much fun!
And then it was the saddest part of the trip…time to head home. Can’t wait for next year at Lakewood!
